Olivia’s voice sounds as resolute as her looks. Her stern gaze at him is no joke. She has been a very good friend of Spencer but she knows Benedetta more than herself. There is no way Benedetta would go that much length to hurt anyone.

Spencer finishes the third glass of wine and hangs his head down,

“It’s true though.”

Olivia grits her teeth as she can’t believe that he could be that much dense.

“Why do you think she would do such a thing?” She asks,

How would I know? She never responded, never apologized!”

I am not surprised!” Olivia scoffed.

“It’s her first motto of life- She never apologizes for anything that she has never done. Even when she knew her family was hurting because of her. But she knew she wasn’t the one who chose to be their daughter. She never apologized. If she thinks she doesn’t have any idea. She will never apologize!”

*Jasmine did nothing wrong!” He tries to defend. “She just did what I asked her to –!”

Stop defending her already. It’s getting annoying.” She snaps at him.

“I always warned you to not be so stupid in the first place. And another car accident? God damn. I am just disappointed. You didn’t even know the woman who was with you for ten years. Fuck, Man! I’m so fortunate that I didn’t meet someone like you.”

Spencer clenches his jaw. Olivia’s words are stabbing his words more than anything. Probably she is right and telling the truth. Truth hurts and tastes bitter sometimes.

“What should I do then?” His tipsiness is taking over.

“Hah? Are you asking me?” She scoffs. ” Find it yourself.”

Spencer could barely hang on. His eyes are swayed by thousands of questions inside his head. The life he has chosen isn’t for him to decide.

Meanwhile,

Benedetta is standing before Carlos with her brows knit. Bryan and Scarlet have been crying nonstop and Carlos is refusing to talk to them either. As if three kids are just ignoring the responsibility of this argument.

“Brother! Both of them were there with Olivia. It’s not like they went there intentionally. So go and make up. Don’t ruin the fun for them!” She sighs.

“Who is – Ouch! What the –?”

He looks at Killian who is ready to smack his head again.

“Stop being a dick. You should have controlled yourself. Now they’ll ask why we were being ahole in front of that uncle they met earlier! Do you want to lie or want them to hate you for scolding them?”

Carlos’s shoulders drop with sadness. Obviously he doesn’t want them to hate him. He just doesn’t want them to meet someone like Spencer.

“Fine! I’ll talk to them!”

Carlos takes a deep breath and walks towards the kids‘ room.

Benedetta chuckles softly and gives her attention to Killian and others.

So how did everyone end up here?” She asks,

“How about we grab a drink?” Simon suggests since all of them are pretty shaken up. Maybe a bit of warming up won’t be bad.

That’s a nice idea!” Diego agrees with Simon.

Okay, then! What about you, guys?”

“We are fine too, right?” Killian asks Zach and Richard who follow them with a nod.

“What about Carlos?” Simon asks, opening the door for them.

He may sweat to make up with the kids.” Benedetta smirks since she knows her kids well.

“That’s great. Let’s go!”

Everyone follows Simon and heads to the bar. Tonight, they’ll just spend their time here. Later at night they’ll have a BBQ party with sightseeing on the rooftop.

As six of them walk in the bar, their attention goes to Olivia who is with Spencer. Spencer seems to be spacing out but his attention gradually goes on them when they approach Olivia.

“Oh! Benedetta! Sorry for earlier. I didn’t know that it’s prohibited to bring him –!”

“Don’t take it to the extreme, Olivia!” She taps her shoulders with a gentle press, ” Carlos is having a bad time recently. His wolf might be in rut.” She chuckles and sits next to her.

Spencer looks at her, finding her so carefree unlike before. She seems young and beautiful.

“I know everything!” Olivia confesses immediately.

He clenches his jaw and stands up. Wasn’t aware that she wouldnt at least consider his feelings for this matter at least.

“Well, I don’t care, It’s not worth giving so many thoughts!” Benedetta said dismissively, ordering her drinks.

She notices the drink that Spencer is having. Obviously it brings a frown on her forehead. But she decides to ignore it.

Spencer looks at her with a blank expression, his mind tangled in confusion. Her casual dismissal feels like a blunt knife twisting in his heart. With a heavy sigh, he sinks back into his seat and orders another drink. The more he hates her, the harder it gets to let go of her. He can’t help.

Olivia just ignores his presence, knowing that he has messed up. The only thing he can do is regret. She doesn’t want to influence this on her bestie.

“So I heard you are trying to let the kids study in a private school? Are you sure about this? The kids are extraordinary. They may not be able to –!”

* Still thinking about it. Bryan is good at math and strength. Carlos wants to teach him. Scarlet has a high IQ and she is good at everything except for her strength! Diego wants her to learn from his family teacher. You know things have been tough for Diego already. I don’t want to stress him out!” She says, sipping her drinks.

* I told you that I can do anything for the kids. It’s not stressing me out. You are the stubborn one!” Diego interjects.

“Oh! C’mon! Even though you are a dominant Alpha, you are still a person who needs to get a break. Don’t mind the kids.” Benedetta chuckles and clicks the edge of their glasses.

“Yup! You are such a reliable mother. I can’t disagree!”

That’s not true!” She laughs with a tinted blush on her face. She is so proud of her kids.

However, Olivia and Spencer both remain silent there. Their conversation isn’t less than like a married couple. As if they’re ready to overcome their obstacles for their kids‘ future.
