Chapter 90
No matter how I looked at it, it didn’t seem like something that had actually happened.
Everything sounded a bit too surreal
The Abigail I used to know would never allow anyone to turn her into a public gossip topic.
However, she had actually raced against Blair out of spite and even argued with her?
How was she doing something so childish at her age?
“What happened next?” I looked at Sophia and asked again.
Sophia shook her head helplessly. “After that… they started fighting.”
“Fighting?”
I was once again shocked, feeling completely unprepared for this news.
I had thought that racing and bickering would be their limit. I never expected that something
even more dramatic would follow.
What surprised me the most was that Blair, who presented herself as a lofty rich girl, would do something like this.
I felt like laughing, wondering if Blair had lost her mind.
“Samuel, I’ll be honest, but you’d better not get mad at me.”
Π
Sophia was hesitant as she looked at me. “I feel like she has very strong feelings for you. Based on my intuition as a woman, I think she likes you.”
“Huh?”
I shook my head helplessly. “That’s impossible. I’m not some stunning, handsome guy. Do you think every girl who meets me falls in love?”
Sophia’s cheeks suddenly flushed.
She looked up at me with deep admiration in her eyes, her expression unusually serious. ” Samuel, you mustn’t underestimate yourself like that.
“Many people in this world like you. You just don’t know it.”
I looked at Sophia in surprise, never expecting her to say something like this.
The atmosphere in the air gradually started to feel ambiguous.
I awkwardly glanced at her and waved my hand, laughing awkwardly. “Heh, don’t joke with me. I saw that Abigail and Blair were in business together, so it’s probably a contract issue that caused the conflict.”
I gave a self deprocating smile. “There’s no way’s because of me. Anyway, let’s drop this tople for now.”
Sophta noticed I didn’t want to continue the conversation, so she said nothing more,
I took Sophia out for a meal at noon.
Then she received a phone call and had to step away.
Just as I returned home, I received a call from Rebecca.
I asked politely, “Ms. Sims, what can I do for you?”
On the other end of the line, Rebecca sulled and hald softly, “There’s an auction in a few days. Are you interested?”
I immediately nodded and agreed.
It was an honor for Rebecca to invite me, and it also served as an important link in helping Abigail connect with her.
This proved that as long as I could make Rebecca happy, her cooperation with Abigail would imminent.
be
Even if Abigail had learned about the auction, she would have probably pushed me to attend.
So, I simply agreed right away.
“Great! I’ll send the electronic invitation to your phone shortly. See you at the auction.”
“Okay, Ms. Sims.”
After hanging up the phone, I received Rebecca’s invitation.
Before I could look into it, my phone rang again with an urgent tone.
As expected, the caller was Abigail.
