He looked at her expectantly, as if her nod would trigger the immediate death of Chloe and her child.
Disappointment flickered in Sera’s eyes. He attributed his infidelity to her! He still believed she’d left because of Chloe!
Seeing her silence, he assumed she agreed. The thought of winning her back thrilled him, and he moved to kiss her.
Before his lips could touch hers, Sera slapped him in the face.
“Julian, have you lost your mind?!”
She realized he hadn’t taken responsibility for his actions. He still believed solving the “problem” would bring her back. The biggest problem was him. The thought of him trying to kill two people filled her with despair.
“What has happened to you?”
“Why don’t you know that you are the problem?!”
He touched his bruised cheek, a bitter laugh escaping him.
“Yes, I’ve lost my mind!”
“Since you left, I’ve had nightmares every night.”
“In those dreams, you left and rejected me in different ways.”
“Those nightmares are driving me crazy!”
“I’ll do anything to win you back!”
He turned and disappeared into the rain.
“Julian!”
She screamed, but he didn’t stop. What a madman.
Before Julian stepped in, Chloe went into premature labor again. The baby was placed in an incubator, but died three days later.
Julian’s mother, who had brought Chloe to the hospital, looked at the lifeless infant with a hint of regret.
“It’s all fate.”
Chloe was no longer useful. Julian’s mother left with a band card.
The room was empty. Chloe clutched the bank card, sobbing.
Everything was gone. Her family had abandoned her, Julian had dumped her, and even her child
was gone.
“Aaahhhh-
”
She sobbed uncontrollably, but no one offered comfort. A passing nurse rolled her eyes at her. The next second, a tall figure appeared. The nurse hastily bowed.
“Mr. Stone.”
Ignoring her, Julian stood before Chloe’s room. When her cries subsided, he entered.

The same room, the same two people. Chloe’s initial surprise morphed into hatred.
“Julian, you happy now?!”
“You caused all this!”
“I have nothing now!”
Julian sneered.
“Am I happy now? Not really.”
The thought of losing Sera ignited his fury.
He grabbed her chin, his voice like ice.
“You should be glad your child didn’t survive, or you would have died with him.”
