Just then, Anthony’s room door was pushed open. He immediately locked his phone and turned to give Rose a displeased look. “Don’t you know how to knock?”
“Summer must’ve discovered something!” Roses mind was filled with thoughts of Summer acting so out of character that she didn’t notice the scornful look on Anthony’s face.
Anthony tensed at her words. “What do you mean by that? Did she say anything to you?”
“Can’t you tell she’s like a different person? She seems to be avoiding us, too. Look at how she stopped her home tutoring without a word–she’s not even returning to the manor now!” Rose growled.
“She’s not returning tonight?” Anthony frowned
He’d learned about Summer’s preferences from Rose and already had a plan. He wanted to orchestrate an encounter with Summer that night and use her likes and dislikes to slowly get to know her better. Yet now, she wasn’t even returning home!
‘Our plan is ruined if she’s really noticed anything!” Rose snarled.
“That might not necessarily be the case,” Anthony said, his expression darkening.
She frowned at him. “Have you thought of something?”
“It’s simple–I just need to make her mine!” he said.
Rose was taken aback. “You want to sleep with her?”
She had feelings for Anthony, so this wasn’t an idea she liked.

“It’s the fastest and only way to drag Summer into this,” he said. He pulled her into his arms and continued tenderly, “You know how much I hate her, right? Still, I’m willing to sacrifice myself for our future and so you can avenge your parents as soon as possible.”
Rose looked slightly better at that. She was the one who’d cooked up this plan, so she was already prepared for the possibility of Anthony and Summer being intimate with each other. She just didn’t feel too happy with him bringing it up so abruptly.
“I guess you’re right. It’s better to get this over with quickly than to drag out the torment. I also think it’s better for us to end this soon. The things that have happened recently are too odd for my liking,” she said.
She wrapped her arms around Anthony and leaned against his chest daintily. “I’m sorry for what happened before this, Anthony. I let my temper get the better of me. Don’t be mad at me, okay? I swear I’ll help you in the future.”
He suppressed his disgust and caressed her hair softly. “You’re being silly. Why would I take something like that to heart? The past is in the past, so let’s not talk about it anymore. We should think about how we’re going to get Summer in bed with me.”

“That’s easy enough. Leave it up to me,” she harrumphed.
They lived under the same roof, after all. It was much too simple for her to create opportunities for Anthony and Summer to end up in the same bed. Still, now that Summer had gone back to staying in the city, she had to think of a way to get her back at the manor.
Henry and the others immediately called Summer after watching the interview. Henry started off by berating her for disregarding her safety and getting off where it was so crowded. He also told her off for accepting an interview without discussing it with them beforehand. Then, he started singing her praises.
Summer sat before her laptop and listened to him. She had mixed feelings over the matter.
When was the last time she’d heard him so overjoyed? It seemed to have happened such a long time ago that she couldn’t even remember.
