“I can.” Summer dropped her gaze and resumed typing on her phone. “Go out and tell them I’ll give them two minutes for the interview. I’ll only answer three questions.”
“Ms. Hartford!” Robin was getting more and more agitated.
Summer had never seen Robin look so worried. She grinned. “Mr. Cohen, why do you think these reporters have suddenly shown up at the school gates?”
Robin knitted his brows.
Summer continued, “Someone had these reporters come here.”
“It was an oversight on my part,” Robin replied in a grim tone.
“What does it have to do with you when it’s someone else who’s trying to pull these cheap tricks?” Summer glanced out of the window.
“Even if I’ve remained in the car today, these guys are still going to write and publish some crappy articles about me tomorrow. Since I can’t avoid it anyway, isn’t it better if I face them head–on? Don’t you agree, Mr. Cohen?”
Robin was in a state of shock.
He did not expect that the quiet, reserved lady could already share such insightful words so effortlessly now.
“Mr. Cohen, I’m already 18 years old, which makes me an adult now. You guys can’t possibly have me hide under my family’s protection forever.”
Summer seemed completely undaunted. “It’s time I show these people what the infamous Ms. Hartford is truly capable of.”
After a short pause, Robin responded to Summer with even greater respect, “Understood, Ms. Hartford.”
A brief moment later, Robin stepped out of the car. There was lots of shouting and commotion almost instantaneously.
In the distance, Annie’s group crossed their arms and watched with interest what was happening.
Almost everyone knew that Summer was afraid of reporters. With all these reporters gathered around her, she was probably already scared out of her wits inside the car.
“It’s a shame we can’t see how terrified she is right now.” Becca had her arms crossed. She wore an expression of bliss and delight.
“Have you made arrangements for how they’ll write the articles?” Annie asked.
“Ms. Hartford is a cold–hearted person. She came to school as if nothing had happened when

her cousin was suffering due to the rumors of her having been sexually assaulted by multiple men.” Becca chuckled. “The articles will sound more or less like that.”
“I also commissioned two social media accounts to release the article of Summer having physically abused Rose!” one of the girls shared excitedly.
“That’s the consequence if you try to pick a fight with us!” Annie jeered inwardly.
Annie’s group was certain that Summer would not dare step out of the car and accept the reporters‘ interview. They had also prepared various articles in retaliation, ready to completely crush Summer this time.
Just then, Robin got out of the car. More than a dozen bodyguards, whom Robin had brought along when he came to pick Summer up from school, swiftly cleared out a space amid the crowd.
“What are they doing?” The smile on Annie’s face vanished.
“I don’t know…” Becca appeared confused as well
At that very moment, Robin opened the car door. The girls watched as Summer got out of the car. There was once again a flurry of excitement among the reporters.
“Has she lost her mind?” Becca muttered with a blank look on her face.
On the other hand, Annie was not even sure how she should react to this.
“That can’t be the real Summer Hartford! There’s no way she’d dare step out of the car to accept the reporters‘ interview!” she screamed internally.
Annie and her friends were not the only ones in shock. Even the reporters who came to request an interview were a little flabbergasted when Summer got out of the car, especially since she looked so different from her old self.
“Ms. Hartford?” One of the reporters sounded as though they were not sure whether the lady who stepped out of the car was Summer or not.
“Three questions in two minutes.” Summer looked calm. Her gaze drifted across the line of reporters before her. She pointed at one of them randomly.
“You’ll ask the first question.”
The reporter was momentarily stunned.
“Why does he get to ask first?” Some reporters immediately expressed their dissatisfaction.
Summer cast him a glance. “I’m the one getting interviewed, so I get to decide that.”
