Chapter 26
Ivan’s eyes lit up instantly.
“I almost forgot about that! Summer Hartford is a real birdbrain. She couldn’t even answer the simplest questions. I won’t let her off for what happened today. Once the exam is over, I’m going to make sure she receives all the punishment she deserves!”
The school had a dormitory. Even though they called it the dormitory, pretty much none of the students lived in the building. Instead, it existed with the purpose of providing rich students with a resting space during their breaks
Most of the dormitory rooms were single rooms that were lavishly decorated, each equipped with its own bathroom, dressing room, and other basic features. They even had better amenities as compared to some of the five–star hotels out there.
Annie took a shower and changed into clean clothes. Then, she sat in front of the mirror and sprayed perfume on herself repeatedly.
She had washed her body several times, yet she could not seem to get rid of the stench of trash still stuck to her hair and body.
“Annie, what is wrong with Summer today? It’s almost as if she was a completely different person!” Annie’s friends had followed her into the dormitory as well. One of the girls, named Becca Zimmerman, was the closest to Annie among the group.
“Can you not bring up that bitch’s name in front of me? It’s making my stomach turn!” Annie suddenly hurled the bottle of perfume at the wall. Shattered pieces of glass flew everywhere, causing the girls to scream frantically.
“Annie, we were bullied, too! What are you yelling at us for? All of us are also furious. Now
isn’t the time for us to fight among ourselves. We should be thinking of how to get back at her!
Becca yelled at her.

“Fine. Tell me. How do we get back at her, then? She’s brought up Hartford Group. Do you think you can still bully her like you used to?” Annie snapped impatiently.
When Summer pressed Annie against the heap of rubbish earlier, these girls who had always claimed to be her best friends dared not even utter a word. Yet, they were all complaining endlessly now.
A girl who had dyed her hair with various colors raised her hand and suggested, “We can look for a spot that doesn’t have any surveillance cameras installed. Then, we’ll throw a sack over her head, drag her to that corner, and give her a good beating!”
“Did you not see how she came to school this morning? She took a lot of bodyguards with her. Do you think you can go against all those bodyguards?” Annie’s voice rang with annoyance.

Becca walked up to Annie and grinned malevolently. “What’s the fun in getting our hands dirty? There are far more interesting things happening to the Hartfords at the moment that we can use to our advantage.”
“Be a bit more direct,” Annie grumbled impatiently.
She could not manage to consider Becca’s words deeply since all she could think about was the stench of rubbish lingering on her body.
“Rose’s incident is still getting a lot of attention, and the paparazzi are all waiting to catch a glimpse of the Hartfords. I’m guessing they have no idea that Summer is attending classes at our school again…” Becca cast Annie a meaningful gaze.
Annie paused briefly. Then, her eyes lit up. “That’s right! Why haven’t.I thought of that? Hurry! Spread the news to the paparazzi secretly and have them wait for her at the school gate when class is over!”
The first day of school after Summer was reborn ended on a rather cheerful note.
Robin pulled up outside the school building just as Summer’s classes ended. It was not his first time picking Summer up from school. However…
He turned his head and glanced at the students who were all staring at him with wary gazes. It made him wonder if these students had reacted to him this way before.
While Robin was still feeling puzzled, Summer carried her bag and walked out of the school building at a leisurely pace.
He was about to go up to her. Just then, he saw the students near Summer move swiftly and simultaneously to the far ends on either side of her, as if they had just seen a ghost. A wide path was created specifically for Summer.
