Chapter 4
Antonio snapped back to reality. Mrs. Vincent, I’m sorry. It’s my fault that Kimberly was wronged.” His tone was gentle. He looked guilty.
He turned around and tried to drag me again.
In the process, the stitches on my body ripped open, and blood began to pour out. I passed out from the pain.
Antonio acted as if he didn’t see anything and dragged me out like a dead dog.
“Grace, you’re not done, are you? You’ve put on such a big act, yet in the end, you remained intact!”
“Lying here can get you away!” Antonio sneered at me.
Just then, Lucia rushed in, having finally secured a bed in the ICU for me. Seeing the scene before her, she nearly exploded with rage.
“Antonio, are you trying to kill your wife for that bitch?”
“She’s still bleeding. Are you blind?”
Antonio froze for a moment, startled by the shout.
Then, impatiently, he lifted his foot and kicked my abdomen.” “Lucia, how long are you going to keep playing along with her act? I’ve known from the start that she’s…”

Blood poured out of my belly.
The blood stained the red tiles, and Antonio’s black leather shoes were soaked, too. He gasped, frozen in place.
But the next second, he furrowed his brow and kicked me even harder.
“Grace, don’t think that I’ll pity you just because you’re faking an injury. Playing these tricks won’t win me over! You’re no equal to Kimberly at all!”
Lucia couldn’t hold herself back anymore. She rushed over and slapped him across the face. “Get the hell away from her!”
Antonio was forcefully pushed aside, and other doctors rushed in. As they removed my hospital gown, my wound was revealed.
“What are you two doing? How did the stitches tear open like this?”
“Get ready for the surgery! We need to re–stitch and give her a blood transfusion!”
Antonio stood there, dumbfounded as the doctors questioned him.
He also saw the wound on my belly. “She’s just acting. How could it be real…”
Lucia stared coldly at him.
“Antonio, you’re the one who caused her to lose the baby and nearly lose her life. Are you satisfied now? Don’t forget, that was also your baby!”
Chapter 4
Antonio still stubbornly denied it. “No, it’s impossible. She plotted the whole medical dispute!”
“I figured it out! She was just afraid that I would divorce her since she got Kimberly hurt! You’re just putting on a show!”
Lucia rolled her eyes.

Shelly, who hadn’t said a word, sensed that it didn’t feel right, so she immediately tried to leave.
“Antonio, since Grace refuses to cooperate, I’ll go inform the press conference to reschedule. It’s a pity for my Kimberly, who’s always been kind to others. She never received such awful comments before.”
Antonio looked deeply guilty.
“Mrs. Vincent, please comfort Kimberly. I’ll make it up to her later when I get back.”
Lucia sneered. “You’re hopeless.”
She put on a mask and went to the sterilization room, preparing for my second surgery. This operation took even longer than the first one.
When she came out, she was surprised to find Antonio still waiting outside. Seeing her calm demeanor, Antonio sighed in relief.
He immediately mocked, “I knew Grace was faking it. If she really had a problem, you wouldn’t be so calm.”
“Dumbass, I’m a doctor. If I’m not calm in the operating room, your wife would have died!”
Chapter 4
Lucia exploded. “Grace has been married to you for seven years. Has she ever had a day of peace? She serves you like a servant! Even Kimberly, that maid’s daughter, could bully her!”
“She’s always occupied yet after your grandmother became a vegetable, it was her who took care of her all the time. And at that time, you were with Kimberly!”
“I really don’t know how Grace could fall for someone like you. You’re just a heartless bastard!”
Antonio’s face darkened. “She deserves it! If it weren’t for her, my grandmother wouldn’t have died, and Kimberly wouldn’t have been framed and driven out of the family!”
Lucia scoffed. “Only a dumbass like you would believe such lies Kimberly made up.”
Saying this, she had her assistant bring a document..
She lifted it and threw it at Antonio’s face.
“Grace had doubts about Madam Kaufman’s death. That’s why she’s been looking into it for years. Take a good look at this! See who the murderer is!”
