As a doctor, I knew clearly that if the knife were pulled out, I would definitely die.
But sadly, there was nothing I could do.
“Antonio, let’s get a divorce. I don’t owe you anything anymore,” I coldly told him.
I was an orphan adopted by Antonio’s grandfather, and he treated me very well.

Antonio seemed to have not heard what I just said. His hand, holding the knife, trembled.
The cops, taking advantage of the moment, immediately subdued him. Lucia quickly wheeled me away, not daring to waste one more second.
Finally, I passed out.
When I woke up, I was in a regular ward.
However, I was connected to many ICU monitors.
The nurse told me that there was no spare bed in the ICU, and Lucia was trying to get one for me.

I reached out and touched my bandaged belly. I knew my baby
was gone.
He had stayed in my belly for just four months.
“You’ll get pregnant again after you recover. Right now, your health is the top priority,” the nurse comforted me, but I didn’t say anything.
She looked panicked after taking a glance at me. “Please don’t cry. Everything will get better.”
“Am Lcrying?” I thought, not even realizing it.
I touched my face, feeling tears.
Seeing me cry sadly, the nurse hurried to get me some tranquilizers.
She had just left when the door to the room was kicked open.
Antonio walked in, his expression agitated and angry.
“Grace, Kimberly said you were just pretending, and she was right. If you were really injured, why are you in a regular room? How long are you going to keep up this act?”
I didn’t look at him.
“Please leave,” I said coldly.
Antonio froze for a moment, furrowing his brows. “What do you mean by that? You still haven’t apologized to Kimberly! She was injured because of you, and she couldn’t work today!
“Because of what happened earlier, the patients think there’s
something wrong with our hospital. Go out and explain!”
Antonio grabbed my arm. His grip was so strong that the wound tore open again, and I felt every muscle start to ache.
I broke out in a cold sweat from the pain. “Antonio, let go of me, I just had surgery!”
He smiled. “If you’re really hurt that badly, you should go to the ICU.”
With a violent pull, he dragged me out of bed, and I fell to the floor..
All the monitors attached to me were scattered all over.
I couldn’t take it anymore and yelled at him, “Antonio, I won’t apologize to her, and I won’t clarify anything!

“I didn’t do anything wrong. The one who did wrong is Kimberly. From now on, you have no right to order me around!”
Antonio looked even angrier, and I could even hear him gritting his teeth.
He shoved me and threw me forcefully onto the ground.
