Once Charmaine had adininistered the needle, the first patient’s violent vomiting of blood began to subside.
She quickly moved on to the next two, applying the same steady precision.
Within ten minutes, all three patients were rushed into the emergency room.
Charmaine was already at the disinfecting station, methodically cleaning her hands and the equipment she had used.
Mr. Stuman approached her with a bright smile. “Professor Robin, we can’t thank you enough. If you hadn’t been here, things could’ve gotten out of hand!”
Making the wrong diagnosis could cost lives. It was no small matter.
Charmaine turned her attention to Lorenzo, who was watching closely, before addressing Mr. Stuman. “I’d like to see Leah.”
“Of course, of course. Right this way, Professor Robin,” Mr. Stuman said, eager to please.
Lorenzo stood frozen, frustration mounting as he watched Mr. Stuman lead Charmaine away. He slammed his fist into the wall, then quickly pulled out his phone, sending a message with urgency.
“Professor Robin, this is the SVIP room. Our hospital has only two of these, and this one is reserved for Ms. Nelson, courtesy of the Nelsons.”
Charmaine, already well aware of the Nelsons‘ close ties to Leah, nodded silently, understanding the significance.
After knocking, they entered the room.
The lively atmosphere inside felt like a mockery to Charmaine.
She smirked.
Across town, Emyr’s car had barely left the parking lot before it was trapped outside in traffic.
Tad glanced over his shoulder. “Mr. Emyr, there’s been an accident ahead. We’ve got a total blockade in a few roads.”
Emyr checked his watch, his face unreadable. “Clear the way. Make sure Robin stays at the hospital.”
“Yes, sir!”
On the main road through Eragos business district, all eight lanes were stalled, cars sitting idle in a long line.
Suddenly, a sharp horn cut through the air. Two motorcycles shot forward, forcing the drivers in the far right lanes to make way.
Behind the motorcycles, a sleek, understated Maybach glided past effortlessly.

No one dared challenge the owner of that car.

Back in the hospital room, Charmaine stood in the doorway, her eyes taking in the scene before her.
Olympia was slicing apples, Milo held a water cup, and Sophie was gently wiping Leah’s calves.
It was a warm, loving scene, a snapshot of family care at its best.
Leah had shamelessly cheated and plagiarized in front of the whole world and embarrassed the Nelsons
Yet, within a single day, they had completely forgiven her.
Even though it was just a simple fainting, the whole family rushed to her side, taking care of her without question, doing everything themselves.
Charmaine couldn’t help but compare it to her own past life. When something went wrong at her birthday party, the Nelsons had been cold and distant, forbidding her from leaving the house.
After donating a kidney and feeling utterly drained, she woke up in a hospital room where only a nurse was present.
The Nelsons hardly found time to visit, stopping by every few days at most.
When she returned home, it was Leah who casually mentioned how busy the family had been, always preoccupied with serving her tea, peeling fruit, and looking after her.
The contrast was bitter. The family who had neglected her now lavished attention on Leah.
As a group of people entered the room, Olympia and the others stood up. “Mr. Stuman, what’s going on here?”
“Mrs. Nelson, this is Robin, a disciple of Master Field, a renowned national healer. She is interested in collaborating with Ms. Nelson on a project.”
The room fell silent.
Robin had come to them?
Leah’s face brightened with surprise. She quickly turned her attention to Charmaine, who stood surrounded by the crowd.
Charmaine’s appearance was striking–her body completely covered except for her amber eyes.
Those eyes met Leah’s, cold and distant, as if looking down on her.
Afleeting thought crossed Leah’s mind. She had seen those eyes before.
But she quickly dismissed the idea.
How could she connect Charmaine to someone of such importance?
Charmaine was nothing more than a bitter, insignificant person.
Milo was the first to react, his gaze sharp with suspicion. “Robin?”

Mr. Sruman immediately picked up on his tone. “Mr. Milo, this is indeed Professor Robin. Just moments ago in the ER, she saved three lives from what could have been imminent de
Mr. Stuman recalled the near–disaster and felt a shiver run down his spine.
With Mr. Stuman vouching for this stranger, the other felt more at ease.
Olympia stepped forward, her hand reaching for Charmaine’s. “I always thought Robin would be an older figure, but I didn’t expect someone so young. I say, what a refreshing sight. My son has been hoping to work with you for some time. However, a misunderstanding led you to turn down the offer recently. I’m curious–what brings you here today?”
