“You traitorous b*stard!” Freya’s eyes were bloodshot as she glared at Alfred, furious. “This is between me and Emyr! What right do you have to speak?”
“Alfred’s words are my words,” came a cold voice from upstairs.
Freya froze, her body shaking. She looked up in disbelief, her eyes locking onto the distinguished man standing on the second floor rail, staring down at her.
Her face turned pale, but she forced a smile, trying to salvage the situation. “Emyr, are you upset because I spoke too harshly just now? But they stopped me from seeing you. No one is helping me now. The hospital and the show are suing me, the police have called, and my parents are mad at me for hurting Grandma- they won’t help me. I can’t go to jail, Emyr! You’re the only one who can help me now.”
“You’re not welcome here and I won’t help you,” Emyr’s voice was as cold as ice, cutting through Freya’s final hope like a sharp blade.
Her eyes grew hollow, staring at him in disbelief. “What did you say?”
Emyr’s face was dark, his expression calm and emotionless.
Freya’s facade shattered, her face contorting fiercely, like a demon who had lost all reason. “It’s that sl*t, Charmaine, isn’t it? She’s the one whispering in your ear, making you turn against me. Because of that b*tch, you won’t help me after everything we’ve been through!”
She screamed wildly and Emyr’s indifference slowly transformed into anger.
“Even now, you still blame others and refuse to reflect on yourself!” Emyr’s voice was full of scorn.
“You treat human lives like a game, even harming your own grandmother, all to frame other people. You still won’t repent, trying to cover your mistakes by making others the villains.
“Freya, I felt disgusted with all these years of friendship.”
Emyr’s hatred for injustice burned within him. The moment he saw the news, any trace of friendship or relationship for Freya had evaporated.
In his eyes, Freya was nothing but a cold–hearted criminal, guilty of countless wrongs.
And now, she was even slandering Charmaine.
Emyr’s disdain for her was so raw that he didn’t even try to hide it. “Alfred, show her out.”
Alfred nodded, signaling the bodyguards to escort Freya out.
Freya fought with all her might, her veins bulging in her neck as she screamed, “Charmaine! B*tch, come out here! You did this to me! Come out, I’m going to kill you!”

She was about to stand up when she heard Emyr’s voice from above.

Emyr didn’t hesitate. His voice was firm and resolute, “I won’t allow anyone to harm her.”
Charmaine, silent and still, tightened her grip on the blanket she was clutching.
Inexplicably, an almost euphoric sensation exploded through her chest, joyfuly flowed to every part of her body.
Freya began to laugh softly for a long time. Her voice growing louder, almost manic, “Heh! Hahaha!”
She laughed crazily as if trapped in madness. “Fine, you like her this much, huh? You’ll go as far as sending me to hell just because I insulting her.”
“Her expression suddenly shifted to one of malice. “No matter how good you are to her, she still doesn’t trust you. Do you know what she’s hiding from you? Do you really think she’ll confess everything to you?
She won’t!”
Emyr’s brows furrowed, but he remained silent.
His calm demeanor made Freya’s laughter more frantic. “Hahaha, you thought she truly cared about you? That she really loves you? Haha, you’re so pathetic, Emyr. You’ve been completely played by that scheming woman. I know everything, but I won’t tell you the truth.”
Freya’s voice dripped with venom as she cursed, “The way you’ve treated me today, you’ll regret it.”
Before Emyr could respond, Freya seized the moment when the bodyguards weren’t paying attention and dashed away.
