Dale placed a firm hand on his daughter’s trembling shoulder and stepped forward. He spoke with a cold, mocking tone, “Alright, since you wouldn’t accept the harsh reality! I’ll only say this once–keep defaming and denying things, and when the time comes, your punishment will be much worse!”
Freya looked up in disbelief. “Dad!”
Dale shot her a look. “She wants to prove her innocence, doesn’t she? Let her make her own mess of things. The more evidence she gathers, the easier it will be to lock her up. We won’t even need to get our hands dirty.”
Freya’s face turned pale, and she clenched her fists tightly. Lowering her gaze, she glanced at Todd.
Todd nodded slightly in her direction, and Freya’s sinister smile returned.
No matter how much you struggle, Charmaine, there’s no way out.
Charmaine made a hand gesture and said, “Well then, thank you, Mr. White, for giving me the chance to prove my innocence.”
She then turned to face the solemn–faced Ingram and Paxton. “Dr. Pearce and Mr. Zimmer, I’d like to review the hospital’s surveillance footage and the production crew’s footage.”
Ingram nodded. “Alright.”
Paxton hurriedly instructed the staff to bring up the replays.
Both sides moved quickly. Hospital security arrived and restored the footage. The office camera was directed straight at the doctor, clearly showing Agatha entered the room and completed the consultation and treatment process.
Their conversation made it obvious that Agatha held Robin’s medical skills in high regard.
Next, Todd entered. After Charmaine left, he sat down at the computer and typed away.
Todd watched the footage and immediately began to explain himself, “Dr. Robin had to leave in a hurry yesterday, and there was still a report left unfinished. I was just helping her finish it and upload it into the system.”
He even pointed to the time. “The report was uploaded at 57 minutes. The footage shows that at 56 minutes, I was typing. Once it hit 57, I finished and stopped using the keyboard.”
Anthony peered through his reading glasses and nodded repeatedly. “That’s correct. The times match up.
“Robin, do you have anything else to say?”
Charmaine ignored his mocking questions and turned to Paxton. “What about the crew’s footage?”

Paxton, of course, quickly abided by the request. He immediately ordered the crew to play the footage.
The camera had filmed Charmaine from a side angle, while the computer faced a window.
After Charmaine left, Todd walked around the office, casually putting things back in place, even closing the window before sitting down.
The footage revealed a reflective screen, making it impossible to see the contents of the computer. All they could discern was that Todd had accessed the hospital’s internal system.
He had modified the prescription and submitted the report, all in the system’s backend.
Paxton had the staff slow down the playback and zoom in on the details, examining frame by frame.
But in the end, they couldn’t find any problem.
Todd’s breath, which had been tight, slowly became more relaxed.
He lowered his head, appearing humble and obedient. Inwardly, his lips curled into a satisfied smile, knowing that everything had gone according to plan.
Todd had purposely closed that window.
You see, he had won a physics competition in high school. The moment he entered the office, he noticed- the camera. He was careful not to overlook the filming and made sure to act with precision.
The window faced the computer screen, and with just a small adjustment in angle, he had made sure the camera wouldn’t capture anything.
He was determined to secure a position in the hospital.
As his smile widened, Charmaine’s casual voice rang out again, “Oh, I almost forgot. There’s one more camera.”

Todd shot up in alarm, his eyes widening in fear.
He quickly scanned the entire office.

Charmaine seemed to have anticipated his reaction, staring at him steadily.
Seeing the panic in his eyes, Charmaine let out a slow, knowing smile.
Paxton and Ingram exchanged surprised glances. “Another camera? Aren’t there already two, one from the hospital and one from the crew? Where’s the third?”
