Charmaine said no more. She glanced once more at the prescription, then walked back to her desk to log into the system.
Opening the last doctor’s diagnosis report, the prescription listed was exactly the same as the one in Agatha’s hand.
Charmaine’s brows furrowed deeply.
Seeing her expression, the tension in the room mounted. Everyone seemed to hold their breath.
Zayn, unable to contain himself, stepped forward. “Is something wrong?”
“Haha, what could possibly be wrong? It’s just Robin writing the wrong prescription and putting lives at risk!”
Charmaine ignored Freya, murmuring a name to herself. “Todd!”
The moment she spoke, Freya sneered, a mocking smile on her face. “Who the hell is Todd or Tobias? Are you trying to look for a scapegoat to take the fall for you?”
Everyone’s expression shifted awkwardly. Anthony quickly spoke up, “Ms. White, rest assured, our hospital would never allow any doctor to hide behind an innocent person for such a serious mistake!”
Charmaine disregarded the sarcastic banter, focusing only on Paxton and Ingram, the ones she trusted. “Todd is an intern assigned to assist me. He has been reviewing my diagnosis records and results for learning purposes and taking notes.”
Ingram nodded and signaled to the head nurse. “Please have Dr. Todd come here.”
Moments later, Todd, who was on duty in the pharmacy, arrived. His face changed slightly upon seeing the tension in the hallway.
Charmaine called to him. Todd walked over.
She asked, “Did you stay after I left yesterday to review the diagnosis?”
Todd nodded and replied honestly, “Yes, I got permission from Ms. Robin, and you agreed that I could stay.”
Charmaine said, “Let me see your notes.”
Todd took a notebook from his lab coat pocket and handed it respectfully to Charmaine.
She opened it and saw the dense pages filled with Todd’s learning notes.
It was clear he had worked hard.
She turned to the three most recent three pages. The handwriting was fresh, recording his reflections from the last few days. There were some cases where Charmaine had used methods not found in textbooks, and Todd had highlighted them in red.

Todd saw her examining the notes closely and spoke up “These cases are unique. I was planning to ask Dr. Robin about them when you’re about to leave the hospital.”
Charmaine nodded, her eyes showing a hint of approval.
She turned the page, and as her gaze landed on a few crucial red words, her fingers turned numb from shock.
Zayn, standing beside her, noticed, and his expression instantly changed. He murmured, “How could this be?”
Todd glanced at the page and, as if suddenly recalling something, asked in confusion, “This is the last patient’s record and prescription from yesterday. It’s the first time I’ve seen a doctor prescribe something toxic, like Libbugroot, and the dosage is quite high.”
“What?!”
Todd’s words shocked everyone in the room.
The Whites, especially, looked at Charmaine with eyes filled with murderous intent.
Todd noticed the change. He was flustered and asked, “Dr. Robin, did I say something wrong?”
“No, you didn’t. The one at fault is the murderer!”
Freya’s eyes burned with rage. “So, you wouldn’t admit it before? Now, we have more solid evidence with a witness too!”
Madge was furious. She turned to Ingram, who stood there in shock, and snapped, “Dr. Pearce, even your intern can prove that she gave Agatha the wrong medication. You and your hospital need to give us an explanation!”
Dale, glaring, clenched his teeth. “My mother is in critical condition, hooked up to tubes in the ICU. The quack who did this to her must pay–no, she must pay double!”
“It’s impossible!”
Charmaine snapped the notebook shut and fixed a sharp gaze on Todd. “You’re lying.”
Todd grew tense and fearful, instinctively lowering his head before meeting her eyes. “I didn’t lie. I just made notes based on your prescription. Dr. Robin, you can’t accuse me!”
Charmaine let out a cold laugh, her eyes growing more determined as she observed Todd’s increasin desperate attempts to conceal his fear.
