Chapter 358 You’re Right
Rex’s eyes were glued to the scene, his neck stretching forward eagerly.
He didn’t dare blink, afraid he might miss even the slightest glimpse of the man’s true face.

The car door opened. A long, well–proportioned arm extended from inside the Cullinan, revealing a crisp
suit sleeve.
Rex held his breath. Just then, an old balloon vendor suddenly darted in front of the car, a mass of colorful balloons completely blocking his view. He couldn’t even see a single strand of his boss’s hair.
“D*mn!”
My heart is about to jump out of my chest, and you’re showing me this?
Rex sprang up in frustration, only to slam his head against the car’s roof.
Grimacing in pain, he clutched his head before quickly scrambling out of the car.
But by the time he looked around, all he saw was the back of Charmaine’s head disappearing into the crowd lining up for the Ferris wheel. There was no sign of the man she was with.
The balloon vendor, catching Rex’s murderous glare, bolted in a panic, dragging his balloons along with him.
Fuming, Rex smacked the car roof twice, but that still didn’t ease his frustration.
He had been this close to seeing what he came for.
“No way. I made it this far–I’m not giving up now!”
Grabbing a face mask from the car, he strode toward the amusement park entrance.
It was a weekend night, and the park was packed with kids and couples. Within moments, Rex had completely lost sight of Charmaine.
But he was sure of one thing: she had headed toward the Ferris wheel. Beyond that, there was nowhere else to go.

Just as he was fretting over his next move, a cheerful voice rang out from the park’s PA system. “Attention, guests! Tonight’s Ferris wheel experience is reserved for couples only! At the highest point, a special effects camera will capture a memorable photo, which will be displayed on the photo wall at the ride’s exit. Feel free to sign your name as a keepsake!”

Rex’s eyes lit up as he glanced at the sleek, glass–walled cabins ascending into the night sky. A plan was forming in his mind.
He pulled out his phone and called Celeste. “I need your help. Get here, now.”
Celeste sounded confused. “What?”

Meanwhile, at the Ferris wheel line, couples noticed Emyr in a wheelchair and kindly offered to let them go ahead. The staff, just as considerate, slowed the ride’s speed to make it easier for him to board.
Emyr frowned deeply, ready to decline their kindness, but every time he tried to speak, Charmaine swiftly covered his mouth.
With a bright smile, she thanked the helpful guests. “That’s so kind of you–thank you!”
Once the cabin door closed and the ride began moving again, Charmaine finally released her hold on Emyr.
He shot her an icy glare, his gaze cold enough to freeze someone on the spot.
Charmaine grinned even wider. “Why are you so mad? Isn’t it nice when people help you?”
Emyr scoffed. “I don’t need their help.”
“Of course you don’t. With your status, you could’ve had Tad negotiate with the park management, use your connections to get VIP treatment, and breeze through without waiting in line. The couples in line and the staff would have had no choice but to comply, whether they liked it or not. Some would be annoyed, others might grumble about unfair treatment.”
She leaned back, her tone light and casual. “But this way, they helped you out of their own free will. They wanted to help you, and it made them feel good doing it. Since the result is the same, why not choose the option that makes everyone happy?”
Emyr fell silent, furrowing his brows in deep thought.
After a long pause, he locked eyes with Charmaine and said slowly, “You’re right.”
The hardest part of dealing with his disability wasn’t the physical limitations–it was overcoming his prejudice against himself.
He knew Charmaine was helping him take that step.
She didn’t dwell on the topic, nor did she say anything overly sentimental. Instead, she turned her gaze toward the glass window. “Look! The view down there is stunning.”
Emyr followed her line of sight.
The Ferris wheel moved slowly, lifting them higher. The amusement park lights shimmered in the night, the tops of the attractions adorned with colorful bulbs. From this height, the glowing rings of light intertwined, creating a mesmerizing scene.
Charmaine had never seen anything like it before. The view was completely different from looking down from a skyscraper.
Emyr noticed how captivated she was, and the corners of his lips curled up ever so slightly. “Do you like it?”
“I love it!” Charmaine exclaimed in awe. She quickly took out her phone, snapping several photos fore eagerly showing them to Emyr. “Look! What do you think of my photography skills?”
