Before signing the contract, Charmaine and Paxton finalized the shooting method. With Basil Field’s assistance, she agreed to spend three days working at Beacon Hospital’s holistic medicine department to fulfill the filming requirements.
Charmaine came today to check out the office where she would be stationed for the next three days.
Since there was no official shoot scheduled today, she wasn’t required to interact with the staff. She didn’t make any special effort with her outfit and simply showed up as she was.
As the top–ranked Class A hospital in Eragos, Beacon Hospital remained packed with people, even during the lunch hour on a weekday.
Due to the long line of cars waiting to enter the hospital premises, Charmaine opted to step out at the nearby intersection and took a relaxed stroll toward the hospital.
All of a sudden, something caught her eye, causing her to narrow her gaze slightly.
Among the many cars in line, a black BMW carried Agatha and Freya inside.
Observing the heavy congestion ahead, Freya repeatedly checked the time on her phone.
An idea suddenly popped into her head. She rolled down the window and gestured toward the traffic officer at the intersection.
Agatha looked at her in confusion and asked, “Sweetheart, what are you doing?”
Flashing a playful grin, Freya gave her a knowing look and whispered, “Grandma, just follow my lead.”
As soon as the traffic officer approached, Freya clutched her chest, took short, shaky breaths, and put on a pained expression. “Officer, please help me. My heart is racing, and I feel really unwell …”
The traffic officer, seeing her distressed state, didn’t question her claim. “Miss, try to stay calm. I’ll clear a path for you right away.”
Without wasting a moment, he hurried ahead, blowing his whistle and signaling the cars to move aside on the jam–packed three–lane road.
Seizing the opportunity, the Whites‘ driver immediately stepped on the accelerator and sped into the hospital grounds.
The moment the window was rolled back up, Freya dropped the act entirely. She turned to Agatha with a triumphant smile and asked, “Grandma, wasn’t that clever of me?”
Agatha let out a laugh, clearly impressed.
She playfully tapped the bridge of her precious granddaughter’s nose and praised her without hesitation, “You’re so clever! As expected of my granddaughter!”
“Of course!”
Charmaine observed as Freya pretended to be sick to skip ahead in the hospital line.
She furrowed her brows, her expression full of disapproval.

Charmaine’s expression turned grim, and she pursed her lips as she silently entered the hospital.
After asking a security guard for directions to the holistic medicine department, she headed that way.
While conventional medicine was widely used, the holistic medicine section remained quieter, with only a handful of patients seeking treatment.
Nearby, a film crew was setting up for a shoot, ensuring they didn’t interfere with hospital operations.
Charmaine walked up to a production assistant and asked, “Excuse me, do you know where Robin’s office
is?”
The assistant was stunned to see Charmaine, a striking young woman, standing before him. He nearly tripped over his words, stammering, “You … you’re Robin?”
Before Charmaine could reply, a sarcastic laugh rang out from behind. “If she’s Robin, then wouldn’t Zayn be Basil Field?”
Well, what a coincidence.
Charmaine turned around and found herself face–to–face with Leah and Zayn, who were approaching.
The assistant made a small noise of surprise, looking slightly uncomfortable as he glanced at Charmaine.
Remaining composed, Charmaine stated, “I’m not Robin. I’m just here to set up the office as instructed.”
Leah instinctively questioned, “Who gave you that order?”
Charmaine shot her a look. “Do I owe you an explanation?”
