Sid didn’t argue the point.
Ivan was the butler who had raised his father and shared a deep bond with him, unwavering in his loyalty. Worried that he wouldn’t take proper care of himself, his father had sent Ivan to stay by his side.
As the winter holidays arrived and the air grew colder, Emyr woke up to find Charmaine taking full advantage of the chance to stay in bed.
Pointing to her dry lips, she made a firm statement. “This is a work–related injury. I’m requesting three more hours of sleep.”
Sprawled out in the center of the bed with her eyes shut, looking like an unbothered troublemaker, she made Emyr chuckle.
“Alright, we won’t practice at night anymore. We’ll move the sessions to the morning so you won’t get ‘hurt‘ again.”
Charmaine sat up in protest. “No way!”
If she had to train both in the morning and at night, without even being allowed to sleep in, then that was way too unfair!
Emyr raised an eyebrow slightly, speaking in an even tone, “Watching you sleep so peacefully makes me feel like skipping work, too.”
Charmaine was lost for words.

That day, Kane handed him a collection of lip balms he had bought. Emyr casually chose a strawberry- scented one, twisted it open, and carefully applied it to her slightly dry lips.
As her lips took on a soft, glossy look, he felt like he had just finished a small masterpiece. With a sense of satisfaction, he reached out and tousled her messy hair.
“Alright, enough messing around. Go back to sleep.”
Charmaine wrapped herself snugly in the blanket, her bright eyes twinkling as she grinned and cooed, “Mr. Emyr, make lots of money today!”
When he looked into those sparkling eyes, he could practically see endless rows of zeros reflected in them. Letting out a helpless chuckle, he sighed. “I’m heading out.”
Charmaine, delighted, rolled around in bed.
After a while, her scent subtly filled the large bed that belonged to Emyr.
Still feeling a little tired, she curled up under the blanket, deciding to nap for just a little longer.
By noon, a soft knock sounded at the door, followed by Alfred’s gentle voice. “Ms. Nelson, it’s time for lunch. If you sleep too long without eating, your stomach might start hurting.”
Charmaine yawned, stretched her arms, and shuffled toward the door while rubbing her eyes. “Alfred, I’m not hungry yet … ” she mumbled.
Alfred laughed softly, having expected that exact response. Without a word, he lifted his phone and played a voice message from Emyr at the perfect moment. “Charmaine, you’ve been asleep for three hours. It’s time to wake up and eat.”
In an instant, Charmaine was wide awake.
Ugh, this Satan is unbelievably strict. Three hours means exactly three hours to him!
Snatching Alfred’s phone, she quickly recorded a reply for Emyr, grumbling, “Fine, I’m up, I’m up.”
Alfred turned away slightly to hide his amusement.
People say every force meets its match, and it looks like Ms. Nelson has Mr. Emyr under control just as much as he has a firm grip on her.
At this rate, it won’t be long before the villa is filled with the cries of a baby!
After lunch, Charmaine decided to take a leisurely walk by the crocodile pond.
