Charmaine tugged her arm and chuckled. “Weren’t you just saying this morning that you’d stay calm? And now look at you.”
Celeste seethed, wishing she could burn all those idiots spouting nonsense into ashes.
“How can I stay calm? They have no clue–you and-”
Before Celeste could finish, someone in the crowd suddenly screamed, “Mr. Emyr?!”

Even Charmaine couldn’t stay composed anymore. She spun around sharply and saw Satan–the same man she had breakfast with this morning–leisurely maneuvering his wheelchair toward the spot next to Kane.
The crowd surged, yet Emyr seemed to spot her instantly, lifting an eyebrow in her direction.
The girls around him went wild. “Ahhh! Mr. Emyr just raised his eyebrow at me! He’s so handsome!”
Celeste was just as excited, practically bursting with joy. “Ahhh! The couple I ship is officially the sweetest in the world!!”
Charmaine suddenly recalled something.

Out of nowhere, the man’s deep, husky chuckle sent a jolt through Charmaine’s mind like an electric
current.
She suddenly had a bad feeling.

Before she could process it, Emyr had already taken a seat beside Rex, sending a chill down her spine.
Crap, he’s sitting with Rex?
They’re not going to cause a scene, are they?
From the moment Emyr appeared, Rex had been watching him intently, chin resting on his hand as he sized up the man in the wheelchair.

The moment Emyr took his seat, Rex immediately sensed the imposing aura radiating from the man beside him.

“Mr. Emyr, I’ve heard a lot about you,” Rex took the initiative to greet him.
Emyr gave him a brief sideways glance before looking away, maintaining his lofty indifference.
Rex’s mouth twitched.
On the other side, Kane leaned forward, enthusiastically reaching out to shake Rex’s hand. “Mr. Chapman, it’s a pleasure! I’ve always heard people say you’re young, capable, and highly accomplished, but we’ve never had the chance to meet. Didn’t expect fate to bring us together today.”
As he spoke, Kane chuckled warmly and added in a lower voice, “My brother has a bit of a temper, hope you don’t mind.”
Rex smiled as well. “I was the one being presumptuous. As long as I didn’t offend Mr. Emyr, that’s all that
matters.”
Kane, unable to suppress his curiosity, felt his gossip instincts kicking in. “So, what brings you here, Mr. Chapman? Don’t tell me you made a special trip just for someone?”
Rex straightened his suit, standing tall. “You’re correct, Mr. Kane.”
He admitted it!
Kane’s eyes lit up. He was just about to dig further into which student had caught Rex’s attention when Emyr, who had been silent with a stern expression, suddenly spoke in a cold voice, “In a setting like this, Mr. Chapman should know when to hold back.”
He spoke slowly, light yet carrying an unmistakable warning, “If this turns into a spectacle, it won’t look good.”
Rex’s smile stiffened. “Mr. Emyr, what do you mean by that?”
Kane instantly sensed trouble.
What’s wrong with my brother? Why the sudden hostility?
They’re not even love rivals. Does he need to be this harsh?!
“Misunderstanding, misunderstanding!”
Having played mediator for over 20 years, Kane swiftly extended an arm to defuse the tension. “Mr. Chapman, don’t take it the wrong way. My brother is just blunt, he meant well. But he does have a point. Given the setting today, it might be best to keep a low profile to avoid bringing any unnecessary trouble to the person you’re concerned about.”
