The Nelsons stood up at once, hearing the whispers at murmurs from every direction. Willard’s face turned ashen with fury. “Is Rex out of his mind? Trying to humiliate us in front of everyone?!”
Milo, however, didn’t rush forward to protect his sisters he usually would. He clenched his fists, holding himself back.
Because he knew it wasn’t Rex’s fault–it was…

His eyes locked onto Charmaine, the woman who remained utterly composed and unshaken amidst the growing chaos.
On stage, Leah realized what was happening and, despite everything, was still trying to defend herself.
“What is this? Accusing me of plagiarism? You’ve got the wrong person!”
Leah was frantic, struggling to understand how things had gone so wrong.
How did they find out?
Charmaine was standing next to her and she didn’t even say anything, how could they possibly know!
The judges, their expressions stern, demanded, “Leah, is ‘Starry River‘ your original work?”
Leah answered without a second thought, “Yes, I created this right here, and you all witnessed it firsthand.”
By now, Willard and several others had made their way through the crowd and stood in the front row, angrily confronting the judges and security guards.
“What’s going on here? How dare you accuse my daughter of plagiarism? I’ll have the Nelsons‘ legal team here immediately, and you’ll pay for this nonsense!”
Willard was livid as his anger flare. Not only had Rex humiliated the Nelsons once, but now, in front of the entire world, he had dealt them yet another devastating blow!
The judges sneered, mocking Leah’s last attempt at defense, completely shattering Willard’s pride.
“At the preliminary stage, we received ‘Starry River. This kind of blatant plagiarism, copied without any alterations, is nothing short of a disgrace to the fashion design industry!”
With that, an identical draft of ‘Starry River‘ appeared on the big screen, but the signature at the bottom of the original design read-
“Charmaine!”
“Wow, so ‘Starry River‘ is actually Charmaine’s work?!”
“Unbelievable, Leah is so shameless–she actually plagarized right in front of everyone! How could she?”
“Not only is she plagiarizing, but from Charmaine, of all people?! This is wild! She even claimed the ‘Nelson‘ surname was a design advantage, but it turns out she’s just a copycat. Hilarious!”
“Charmaine is incredible–her designs have so much depth, and she can master so many different styles. Is

Leah stood frozen in shock with her face drained of color, and her body stiff with disbelief, “How could this happen?”
No matter how she tried to figure it out, she never expected that Charmaine would use this design draft from the very start!
Why this one, of all designs?!
A chilling sensation spread through her body as if all warmth was slowly draining away.
Leah forced herself to turn her head, her gaze searching for Willard and the others.
Seeing Willard’s eyes blazing with anger, Leah felt her legs weaken.
If the bodyguards hadn’t held her steady, she would have collapsed from sheer exhaustion long ago.
Willard abruptly stood up and stared at her, his voice trembling with fury. “Leah, what is happening here?!”
He was nearly out of his mind with rage, never imagining that such a scandal would hit the family–and in front of the entire nation!
And to make it worse, it wasn’t just any plagiarism–it was Charmaine’s, the girl who had come from such a humble background …
Where could Willard possibly hide his face after this?
Leah suddenly shuddered, “No, that’s not true …
She was so overwhelmed by fear that she closed her eyes and fainted.
“Wow, the main character even fainted.”
“Someone call an ambulance! If we don’t hurry, she won’t be able to keep up the act!”
“She claims to be a genius, but it turns out she’s just a talentless plagiarist!”
The venue erupted into chaos.
Of course, the reporters present weren’t about to let such a juicy scandal slip by.
With Leah fainting, all eyes turned to Willard and Jonah.
“Mr. Nelson, are you aware of your daughter’s plagiarism?”
“Was this your doing? Did the price not sit right with you?”
If Willard hadn’t been desperately trying to hold his temper, he would’ve nearly shouted at their insinuations.
What a load of nonsense!
Charmaine glanced at the pandemonium around her, then stepped back, leaving the scene as though it
had nothing to do with her

She watched as Willard was swarnied by reporters, clearly embarrassed and wishing he could vanish. Charmaine couldn’t help but smile, folding her arms in quiet satisfaction.
