No, she doesn’t know.
If she had proof, she would have already exposed it.

A moment later, several men in well–tailored suits entered, one of them stepping forward to introduce himself to Isaac. “Hello, I’m Ms. Charmaine’s attorney. From this point on, any questions should be directed to me. I will be representing her in all matters.”
Zayn scoffed. “You said you’re innocent, but you already have a lawyer lined up. Charmaine, are you really going to stand there and say you have nothing to hide?”
Charmaine was about to respond when a low, icy voice came from behind the suited men.
“She shouldn’t even have to waste her time dealing with people like you. You’re not worth it.”
Everyone turned toward the source of the voice and their expressions shifted in an instant.
There, seated in a sleek silver–white mechanical wheelchair, was a man whose cold, aristocratic features exuded an air of unshakable authority.
Charmaine was taken aback. “What are you doing here?”
Emyr shot her a sharp glare. “You have the nerve to ask me?”
She blinked in confusion. “Huh?”
Tad coughed lightly and explained, “Ms. Charmaine only requested a half–day leave from school. This afternoon, her professor noticed she was absent from her specialized course and reported it to the grade director. Ms. Celeste was worried she’d face disciplinary action, so she contacted Mr. Emyr.”
Charmaine was speechless.
She knew Celeste wasn’t exactly the most reliable person, but she was too unreliable.
How could she get Emyr involved? Between a disciplinary warning and facing the Satan himself, she’d take the warning any day.
Recalling the piercingly cold look Emyr had just given her, Charmaine swallowed nervously. She quickly shifted behind him and muttered, “Actually, I was just about to leave anyway. Everything’s handled. You really didn’t need to go out of your way for me … It’s such a hassle for you.”
Emyr countered with an icy smirk. “You have been skipping class long enough. If I hadn’t come, just how long were you planning to stay?”
Charmaine suddenly had an epiphany. “Oh, that! In the morning, I had an appointment at a beauty clinic with the head specialist. It couldn’t be rescheduled. I’ve only been here for, like, an hour.”
Emyr remained silent as his glare grew even colder. “Are you coming with me or not?”

Watching as Charmaine and Emyr nonchalantly trampled over their dignity, the Nelsons seethed with rage.
Willard was about to explode, but before he could, Emyr–who had just turned away–suddenly paused and cast him a chilling sidelong glance.
“If you continue to harass the Crosses, Mr. Willard, I won’t bother honoring whatever history our families once shared.”
Despite all his years navigating the ruthless business world, Willard couldn’t suppress the shiver that ran down his spine under Emyr’s gaze.
With that final warning, Emyr wheeled away, taking Charmaine–completely unscathed–with him.
Rex and Micah had discreetly followed Charmaine. They had parked their car in a hidden corner across the
street.
Rex kept checking the time on his phone. “She’s been they’re using force on her?”

After all, Charmaine wasn’t just trained by Basil. Her other mentors were people even the highest–ranking officials in Valasia treated with utmost reverence.
Rex thought about it for a moment, then nodded. “Fair point.”
Just then, a convoy of cars pulled up outside the building. The Maybach in the center stood out like a beacon.
Rex took a closer look and sucked in a breath. “D*mn! What’s he doing here? Why is Emyr showing up out of nowhere?”
Micah’s eyes flickered. He had done some digging for Charmaine before and had a vague idea of certain things.
Seeing Rex’s utterly clueless expression, he immediately understood.
Master still hadn’t told this idiot about her connection to Emyr
A short while later, Charmaine finally emerged. However, instead of coming to them, she climbed into Emyr’s Maybach.
Rex panicked. “Micah! Why are you just sitting there? Start the car and follow them! Boss just got taken away!”
Micah gripped the steering wheel, looking completely unbothered. “We can’t. Do you have any idea how good Emyr’s security team is at counter–surveillance? I’m not about to pick a fight with the Crosses.”
“D*mn it!” Rex was fuming. “Wait, why is Emyr even getting involved? And why did Boss just go with him? Did he have something on her? Or-” He paused, suddenly suspicious. “Could it be that Emyr’s part of all
this too?”
