“No… Just getting ready to freshen up in the bathroom.”
“Oh, right. Boss, you haven’t told us where you’re dwelling yet. You’ve left the Nelsons for a while; why haven’t you come by to visit us?”
“I’ve been held up by some things. Let’s talk about it later.”
Charmaine heard some noise outside and said, “I’ll freshen up first; you guys get some rest.
After saying that, she hurriedly hung up the video call.
Rex stared at the dark screen, feeling a bit confused.

Kane looked at Charmaine and nodded. “Alright. It’s good that Chara could pay a visit to uncle and aunt’s graves as well.”
After the two had their breakfast, they got into the car and set off eastward.
The air was filled with solemness throughout the journey. Charmaine held onto the bouquet of flowers, her eyes lowered. She seemed to be lost in her thoughts.
Emyr, who had not spoken much since last night, broke the silence. “The Cross‘ graves are in Eragos, except for my parents.”
Charmaine turned her head toward him.
His gaze remained straight ahead. His indifferent eyes were seemingly empty as he gazed into the distant air with a faint hint of sorrow.
