Chapter 130 Future Sister–In–Law
Kane did not mind Freya’s tone, simply nodding. “No wonder,” he said, then turned to Emyr with excitement.
“This is great, Emyr!”
Unlike everyone else’s enthusiasm, Emyr’s expression remained stoic, his emotions unreadable.

Freya knelt in front of his wheelchair, her eyes misty with unshed tears. “Emyr, I’ll do everything I can to get Basil to treat you,” she promised earnestly.
“Thank you,” Emyr said flatly.
“This is nothing, Emyr. Don’t be so polite to me,” she replied with a shy smile, her cheeks tinged pink.
Then, as if recalling something, her expression shifted, and her voice turned saccharine
“Emyr, I heard that a young maid has been helping with your treatment recently?” she asked sweetly.
Emyr did not respond, but his silence seemed to confirm her suspicion. Freya’s tone grew concerned. “Basil has a temper, and he treats patients based on his mood. If he finds out that an outsider has been treating you without proper qualifications, it could offend him. What if he refuses to help you because of it?”
Before anyone could respond, a small chuckle came from behind them.
Freya’s face turned red with anger and embarrassment. Who’s laughing?” she snapped, turning sharply.
Charmaine had stepped into the room at some point and stood calmly in the doorway. Her composure only fueled Freya’s anger.
“Well, well, Charmaine,” Freya hissed. “You actually dare to show your face here. I haven’t even settled the score from when you pushed me to the ground last time!”
Charmaine, completely unfazed, raised an eyebrow. “Ah, so Ms. White remembers my name. Funny, considering how sarcastic you were just moments ago.”
Freya’s face darkened with rage. “You’re going too far! Who gave you the courage to act so arrogantly in front of me?”
Without warning, Freya lunged at Charmaine, her hand raised high to slap her.
Kane tried to intervene, his voice sharp. “Freya, what are you doing?”
However, before he could act, Charmaine’s expression turned icy. She caught Freya’s wrist mid–air and pushed it away with enough force to send her stumbling backward.
Freya staggered two steps, her wrist already red and swelling from the impact.
Freya immediately burst into tears, turning to Emyr in a show of grievance. “Emyr, look at her! She’s becoming more and more audacious–she even hit me
Kane let out a mocking laugh, clearly unimpressed by her act. “You deserved it! Who told you to provoke

Charmaine’s eyes widened, and she instinctively tried to stop him, but she did not get the chance to
intervene.
Not only did Celeste want to tear her apart now, but Freya also wanted to rip her to shreds.
Freya froze in disbelief, her voice rising into a shrill scream. “Kane, are you out of your mind? Who did you say is your future sister–in–law!”
Kane stood firm beside Charmaine without hesitation. “Who else but her?”
Turning to Charmaine, he added confidently, “Chara, don’t worry. I was just slow to react earlier. If Freya dares to try anything again, I’ll kick her away myself!”
The blatant favoritism was impossible to miss.
Charmaine rubbed her temples in exasperation.
This attention–seeking little brother of Satan himself…
I really want to kick him away myself!
Freya, on the verge of losing her composure, clutched her head in frustration. The whole situation- Charmaine and Kane’s alliance–felt unbearable, as though she were losing her grasp on reality.
She turned to Emyr desperately. “Emyr, you have to say something! Kane’s completely brainwashed by her! How could Charmaine …”
“Does this have anything to do with you?” Emyr interrupted coldly, his tone slicing through her words.
“Who are you to question me?” He added, his icy demeanor leaving no room for argument.
Freya’s face crumpled, tears spilling as she stammered, Emyr, I’m just trying to help you!”
“I don’t need your help,” he said flatly, his words merciless. His gaze was sharp, his anger palpable. “And who told you that Charmaine is treating me?”
Emyr radiated a natural air of dominance, laced with an overwhelming anger that sent a shiver through Freya, who had been hoping to find solace in him.
Amid the startled gasps of those around, equally shaken by Emyr’s fury, Freya’s guilt was evident. Her voice wavered, trembling with a sobbing tone as she stammered, “Emyr, I just happened to overhear the servants talking casually …
#1
Emyr’s eyes narrowed, his voice dropping to an even sharper edge. “Which one?”
Freya’s lips quivered. “I–I don’t remember. Please, Emy, don’t be like this. You’re scaring me…”
Her tears had no effect on him whatsoever.
Emyr turned to Alfred. “Check the surveillance. Bring in every servant she’s interacted with and have her identify them one by one.”
His tone was icy and merciless. “If she enjoys gossiping about the master’s family, then send her back where she can gossip all she wants!”
