Chapter 560
Seeing the alert on the screen, Cherise turned to Jean and said, “You should head back. This is probably more complicated than it seems.”
“Cherise, it’s Hank, isn’t it? You got some news on him, right?” Jean asked anxiously
Cherise didn’t deny it. “I need to check it out first. Hurry back!”
Jean wanted to go with her, but she knew she would only slow Cherise down. Gritting, her teeth, she quickly opened the car door and got out.
The moment Jean stepped out, Cherise immediately grabbed Hank’s phone and worked as fast as she could.
She had to admit, Hank had encrypted his phone impressively well. Even with her skills, it took her several minutes in the car to crack his password.
As soon as she unlocked it, she connected the phone to Bluetooth. Sure enough, a few seconds later, a software interface resembling a tracking app appeared on the screen.
Seeing this, Cherise couldn’t help but smile. “This kid’s pretty impressive”
With that, she set the phone down. The car swerved sharply, tires screeching against the pavement as she sped toward the villa gates.
Jean watched as the vehicle disappeared into the distance. Just as she was about to turn back into the house, Mary walked
out.
Glancing around, Mary frowned. “I was watering the plants on the rooftop just now, and I saw Cherise’s car. How did she disappear so fast?
“Did she leave already? Why didn’t she stay for a meal?”
“Well… yeah, she had something urgent to take care of, so she left,” Jean mumbled, hesitating over whether to tell Arthur about the situation.
But then she remembered that Arthur had just left for an international visit with a delegation yesterday. Contacting him now might be inconvenient.
After thinking it over for a moment, Jean quickly ran to a secluded corner and made a call. The line rang for a while, and just as she was about to hang up, someone answered.
“Hello?” a voice came from the other end.
It was Morris,
Hearing his voice, Jean immediately spoke. “Morris, Hank is missing. Cherise dropped me off and then went to look for him.
“It’s urgent, so she probably didn’t have time to inform you. You-”
Before she could finish, the call abruptly ended with a beeping tone. Morris had hung up.
Meanwhile, Cherise followed the tracking software on Hank’s phone, steering off the main road. There were plenty of cars around, but with her expert driving skills, she weaved through traffic at top speed.
Back at Chivers Group, Morris, after ending Jean’s call, had already pulled up Cherise’s location on his screen.
The red dot marking her position was moving rapidly. Without hesitation, he had already reached the entrance of Chivers

Without anyone noticing. Hank had already made his way to the first floor of the villa.
Just as he had expected, the front door was located here.
However, getting through it wouldn’t be easy. Three guards in black suits stood right at the entrance,
Hank wasn’t afraid of fighting them, but he was worried that making any noise would alert the rest of the guards inside. If that happened, he would end up outnumbered again, just like in the morning. Escaping would become even more difficult
At this moment, he couldn’t help but think, ‘If only Ms. Leach were here. With her techniques, she could take these prys
down in no time.
Although he had learned some of Cherise’s techniques, he had never practiced them in real combat. He wasn’t sure if he could pull it off. However, Hank had always been confident in his abilities–during simulations, he had never failed once
With that thought, he gritted his teeth. The worst–case scenario was that he’d get caught again–after all, Lydia still had questions for him. No matter what, he decided to give it a shot.
Resolving himself, he took off his glasses again and carefully detached one side of the frame, revealing several silver needles hidden inside. After retrieving them, he pressed himself against the wall beside a window near the front door.
He selected three needles and aimed them at the guards‘ necks, silently counting in his mind. Three, two, one–go
There wasn’t a single sound, but he could clearly see the three guards suddenly freeze in place. Feeling a surge of relief, Hank quietly pushed the front door open.
Meanwhile, upstairs, Lydia remained completely unaware of what was happening below. She didn’t notice anything wrong on the security feed either.
She was on the phone with her father, Tristan. “Dad, Hank is already here.”
“Good. You don’t need to do anything to him. It’s best to be polite–don’t leave any evidence that could be used against us,” Tristan instructed. “Just ask him some questions. If he doesn’t answer, it doesn’t matter. There will be other chances.
“I understand. I tried questioning him, but he’s not cooperating,” Lydia replied. “That kid is sharp–and incredibly tight- lipped. So far, I haven’t gotten a single truthful word out of him.”
Tristan sighed. “If he really is his son, would you expect anything less? Be careful not to cause too much of a scene–I don’t want this getting out of hand.
“And if he is that man’s son, try to find out who his mother is. We need some leverage on him.”
A glint of calculation flashed through Lydia’s eyes. “Got it,” she replied.
After hanging up, she sat back down and casually glanced at the surveillance screens–only to suddenly notice something
was wrong.
She shouted, “All units, be on alert! The hostage is making a move,” she barked into her radio before bolting toward the basement level.
Upon arriving, her eyes immediately landed on the now–empty couch. Hank was gone.
Lydia’s expression turned even colder. She grabbed her radio again and ordered, “Lock down every exit in the estate. I don’t care if it’s a person or an insect–nothing gets out!”
