Arthur understood and agreed with Hank’s actions. He was quite proud of Hank. “Okay!”
Hank, seeing Arthur’s reluctance to leave, said just as he was about to enter the orphanage, “My mom is the best mom in the world and she’s very beautiful. She has her reasons for doing things. Please, don’t blame her.”
Arthur immediately replied, “Don’t worry, Hank. I’ve never blamed your mom. In fact, I should thank her. At my age, I never thought I’d suddenly have a son.”
He paused, as if he had more to say but didn’t know how to express it. But seeing Hank turning to leave, he couldn’t help but ask, “Hank, can I give you a hug?”
Hank stopped in his tracks instantly. If you looked closely, you could see his hands clenching slightly at his sides. He stood still for a long time. Just when Arthur was about to give up, Hank turned around and smiled at him.
Arthur was overjoyed. He quickly stepped forward and hugged Hank, who was almost as tall as he was, patting his back. “Good boy.”
Standing nearby, Mateo took out his phone and captured this touching moment. As he recorded, he muttered, “I have to admit, seeing two guys hugging isn’t as awkward as I thought. It’s actually pretty moving!” He wiped a tear from the corner of his eye.
After the hug, they each went back to their own duties.

his glasses back on, returning to his usual honest and dependable persona.
Arthur, on the other hand, returned to Betrico Central Mansions. The tenderness he showed when he saw Hank was gone, replaced by his usual stern demeanor.

At Taylor Vogue, Cherise had come over to make the final adjustments to the bridesmaid dresses. Assisting her were Xenia and Jean.
They had just finished up and were about to sit down for a cup of tea when Cherise received a message from Hank, [Ms. Leach, are you busy right now? Can we meet?]
Cherise immediately knew why Hank wanted to see her. She quickly turned on her real–time location and sent it to Hank, along with a text, [Come to this location to find me!]
Hank clutched his phone tightly after seeing the message. After a moment of hesitation, he took off his thick glasses, brushed his bangs aside, checked himself in the mirror, and finally left, satisfied with his appearance.
He rode his bike at breakneck speed and made it from the suburbs to downtown Taylor Vogue in less than half an hour.
Xenia had already instructed the staff to wait downstairs for a boy with big glasses, but the guy who showed up didn’t match the description.
The staff hesitated and called Xenia for confirmation, “Hey, boss, he says he’s Hank, but he doesn’t look like what you described. This guy is super handsome and doesn’t wear glasses.”
Xenia had the call on speaker. After hanging up, the three women exchanged glances.
Jean stood up and ran downstairs. When she saw the once–dorky boy now looking so dashing, she couldn’t help but laugh.

Her laughter grew louder as she ran up to him, playfully punching his shoulder. “You little rascal, so you really are Hank. You’ve gotten so handsome. It must be the good genes from our family. You look way better than before,
For someone so young, you sure have a lot of tricks up your sleeve! You really had me fooled,” she said, giving him another playful punch.
Hank just smiled, letting Jean hit him.
On the fourth floor, in Xenia’s office, only Cherise and Hank were left inside.
The staff brought them two cups of tea.
Cherise took a sip of tea to moisten her throat and then spoke to the boy who had changed so much, “So this is the real you. Not bad at all.”
Hank chuckled, “Yeah, my biological father came to find me.”
Cherise nodded in understanding.
“Ms. Leach, I know it was you who detected our genetic connection. I’m really grateful to you. Without you, I wouldn’t have known what to do,” Hank said, looking at Cherise with gratitude. He continued, “I wonder how you figured it out, considering—”
“The real Hank passed away two years ago during that heatstroke incident, right?” Cherise interrupted before Hank could finish.
Hank nodded. He knew that in front of Cherise, the professor he admired the most, there were no secrets to hide.
Cherise looked at him and said, “So, I’m curious where you put the deceased Hank. Did you tamper with the surveillance videos at Elysium Medical Center?”
Hank decided not to hide anything anymore and spoke honestly, “You know, my real name isn’t Hank. I’m from the Jarrett family, and my full name is Jean Jarrett. I’ve mostly lived in Astonburg, and occasionally in Fresburg, though not very often.
“I remember very clearly that it was raining two years ago when I met Clara. She was walking alone, saying she needed to go to the hospital to see her brother. The orphanage’s headmistress had told her that her brother was dying.
“But Clara didn’t know the way, so I had to take her there. When I arrived at the hospital, I saw Hank lying on the bed, barely breathing, with a critical condition notice on the bedside table.
“Clara asked me if her brother would survive. She was so young back then. How could I tell her that her brother was going to die? No, I couldn’t do that.
“At that time, I was also alone in Clusia, with no family or connections. Living as myself would have been too conspicuous and inconvenient. So, I came up with a plan. I told Clara that her brother would be fine.
“After that, I put the plan into action. Once Hank had passed away, I buried him properly in the suburban cemetery and completely took on his appearance.
