It was already late in Yasvissa. Cherise finished packing the pills she was going to send to Morris the next day and handed then over to Hugh. There for your boss. Take them to the market tomorrow and have them shipped to Betrico.

Hugh was confused. “I don’t need it. Don’t worry, Mrs. Chivers, make sure these pills get to Betrico in one piece.” Cherise thanked him politely and turned to head for the kitchen, wondering if there was any late–night snack to nibble on.
Hugh stood there, staring at the bag in his hands, his mind buzzing with the words “kidney health” and “strengthening the body“.

Cherise finished her late–night snack and returned to her room, just as Crow stumbled out, his messy blonde hair a clear sign of his late–night work. He yawned, bumping right into Cherise.”
He said, “You’re finally back, Boss. What’s this for? I’ve been staring at the screen all afternoon and almost went cross–eyed.” Cherise walked over to the computer and looked at the documents. “Did you find anything?”
Crow shook his head, tossing his blonde hair. “Of course, The McLaren is still waiting for me in Betrico. How could I not give it my all?”
“Then go ahead, there is a late–night snack waiting for you in the kitchen. The McLaren’s yours and you can get it after your go back to Betrico,” Cherise said as she sat down in front of her computer.
“Got it!” Crow said eagerly before quickly shutting the door behind him.
Cherise stared at the screen, her fingers clicking a few times. Sure enough, after Crow spent the whole afternoon filtering through the data, a lead had finally appeared.
There was only one person named “Carson Garcia” who had shown up in Yasvissa. The system confirmed he was still alive- 88 years old, formerly using an alias, and currently residing in Larkston. The address looked like it was a clinic.
Cherise focused on his information, speaking softly to herself, “Could you be Mr. Garcia? Larkston is not too far from Yasvissa, anyway. Looks like I’ll need to go there in person. I hope you’re the one I’m looking for.
Chapter 339
She sat there for a moment, lingers rhythmically tapping the desk as she mulled over her thoughts.
The room was quiet until her phone rang with a video call from Morris. She snapped out of her trance and answered it
“Babe.” Morris’s voice came through, his handsome face filling the phone screen.
When Morris called her that, Cherise couldn’t help but smile. “Are you still awake?” she asked, her voice softer, with a hint of shynes
“I can’t sleep without you here.” Morris replied with a note of regret in his voice, “I regret leaving you in Yasvissa. I should’ve been more selfish and brought you with me. When do you plan to come back?”
Hearing Morris say that, Cherise also felt a pang of loneliness. She glanced at the bed that was still faintly carrying the scent of him from last night and wondered if she would be able to fall asleep as easily without him tonight.
She replied, “I miss you too, but I have left my hometown for a long time, so I think I may stay here a little longer. Dennis and Bella don’t have children and aren’t too keen on going to Berico.

Morris understood, and since they were both in Clusia, he could easily finish up his work and come visit her in Yasvissa in a couple of days. “Give me a kiss!” he said playfully like he was teasing.

It clicked for Cherise–when she replied to his text earlier with “Kisses“, she hadn’t expected him to remember, let alone mimic it. It was one thing to type it, but hearing him say it like that made her a little flustered.
“What’s wrong? You left for just a bit, and now you don’t love me anymore, right?” Morris sounded slightly pouty.
Cherise quickly denied it. “Of course not! Mwah, Morris. I love you and I miss you!” She said it quickly, but Morris, on the other end of the phone in Betrico, could hear it clearly.
