“But they just got married and are separating already. You’ve never been in love, so how would you understand? Besides, Mr. Chivers is so much older than Cherise, he has to make up for it with extra sweetness,” Xenia retorted.

Outside, Morris caressed Cherise’s face, then turned to look at Crow leaning against the wall munching on snacks, Hugh standing upright, and Zander playing games on a stool.
“Cherise is in all of your hands now!” Morris said, his tone serious and earnest.
