Nathaniel felt so misunderstood. He quickly said, “I took the call right in front of you. You heard everything, Sofia. Don’t blame me for this.”
Sofia thought about it. That’s true–Nathaniel hadn’t said anything weird.
The conversation had been completely normal. How did that make Old Mr. Hart start thinking about babies?

Sofia still felt like Nathaniel must’ve said something odd. But she had no proof.

But then she froze. Her clothes from last night had already been ripped to shreds by Nathaniel.
Seeing the mess on the floor, Sofia felt a bit helpless.
Did this asshole not hear a word she said? She had clearly told him to take it easy.

Nathaniel followed her into the room and saw her glaring at the torn clothes on the floor, clearly frustrated. He said, “Sorry, babe. I’ll buy you some new ones.”
Sofia turned around and glared at him. “Do you even realize how fragile your body still is? If you keep overdoing it, it’s going to mess with your health.”
Nathaniel grinned and said, “I thought after last night, you’d know by now whether I’m fragile or not.”
Sofia’s train of thought got completely thrown off by his words.
He had a point. Judging by how he was last night, he didn’t seem fragile at all.
Frowning, Sofia glared at him again and said, “Stop talking nonsense, or I really will hit you!”
Nathaniel chuckled and stepped closer, pulling Sofia back into his arms. “Do you just like Fighting with me that much?”
Once again, Sofia’s face turned bright red, and her heart started racing.
She suddenly felt like it was impossible to have a normal conversation with Nathaniel.
