Chapter 7
Lucian’s POV:
Upon spotting my Luna inside L.MOON, I immediately approached her, seizing her arm. The moment my skin made contact with hers, the wolf within me calmed down.
A peculiar sensation swept over my heart, a sensation I had never felt before in the three years since I found my partner. It was a unique feeling that existed only between partners.
It turned out she could tame my inner beast despite not being able to see it.
“What are you doing?” Kathryn pulled her hand out of my grasp.
As soon as we separated, my wolf was howling, yearning for closeness with its mate.
Feeling uneasy, I said, “You’ve become quite the adventurer, Kathryn, running away from home like this!”
How could my Luna possibly stay out all night? She couldn’t do that.
With a polite smile on her face, the woman responded, “I’m at work, Mr. Gandillon. Please refrain from behaving inappropriately.”
I was taken aback. She was at work? Why would she need to work?
Working was a means to earn money, but I had already amassed an immeasurable fortune for my Luna. She didn’t need to earn a dime.
I frowned. “Are you short on money? Do you need to be serving others coffee and water?”
“We’re already divorced, so even if I disgrace myself by being a waitress, it won’t reflect on you. Aren’t you afraid that Ms. Pearce might misunderstand your actions?”
My face fell instantly. “Divorce? Don’t spout nonsense!”
Kathryn abruptly shook my hand off. “The divorce agreement will be sent to your office tomorrow. Remember to sign it!”
“I won’t sign it!” I glared at her.
I was just about to say something when Juliette walked over, asking, “What’s wrong?”
Why did she come here? I wanted to hold my Luna’s hand. What a buzzkill.
I furrowed my brows. “What are you going here?”
Juliette explained with a soft smile, “I noticed you’d been in here for a while, so I came to check on you. Do you know this attendant?”
I couldn’t let her find out that my Luna was a human!
“I don’t. I mistook her for someone else,” I replied stiffly.
In our three–year marriage, I was nothing more than a stranger to her!
“Well, mistakes can lead to unexpected connections, right?” Juliette remarked. “Would you mind showing us the wedding dress designed by Serenity?”
Wedding dress?
Isn’t this woman here to buy handbags? Why is she looking at wedding dresses now?
Whatever. I can never comprehend a woman’s mind.

But why did Kathryn suddenly decide to leave? Why is she asking for a divorce?
What on earth are these women thinking?
While I was lost in my own thoughts, Juliette had already made up her mind about which dress she wanted. “I’ll take this one!”
Without even a glance, I responded indifferently, “You can try it on.”
The assistant walking beside him cautiously reminded, “Sir, this particular dress isn’t for-”
Before she could finish speaking, Kathryn immediately cut her off, “It’s for sale, but at a slightly higher price. 10.95 million in Azanian currency.”
Upon hearing the quoted price, Juliette was clearly somewhat hesitant.
With an emotionless expression, I glanced at Kathryn. “If you like it, I’ll buy it for you,” I said nonchalantly with my hands casually tucked in my pockets.
As I spoke, I handed my card to the clerk. “Just swipe it. There’s no PIN.”
Considering Juliette had gotten injured for the sake of the pack members, I figured this dress would serve as a get–well gift.
She excitedly gave me a big bear hug. “Thank you. I love you so much!”
I immediately pushed her away, stealing a somewhat guilty glance at Kathryn.
Having turned away at that very moment, she saw nothing.
1 breathed a sigh of relief.
Why was I even feeling guilty? There was absolutely nothing going on between Juliette and me.
I may have dated her during my young and naive days, but we parted ways amicably. My feelings for her are akin to those I have for the younger generation in our clan, completely devoid of any romantic interest.
Right now, the only one who could stir my desire was Kathryn. Unfortunately, she couldn’t handle my size, and this often left my cravings unfulfilled.
She was also the only one who could instantly kill my mood whenever I was all fired up.
I looked helplessly at Kathryn, my Luna. What was I supposed to do with her?
