The affair between Bruno and Amy wasn’t just witnessed by many people last night. By the early hours of the next day, the entire high society had already heard about it. Everyone was talking about them.
Most people were indignant on Loretta’s behalf, while some men, relishing the scandal, thought they now had a chance to
court her.
The situation spiraled out of control, and if it wasn’t handled soon, Bruno and Amy would be utterly disgraced by the public’s judgment.
In the end, Bruno’s parents and Amy’s parents sat down together to discuss the matter and decided the only solution was to have the two get engaged immediately.
Bruno, however, was completely unwilling. He loved Loretta, and only Loretta’s family could help him achieve his ambitions. Amy, on the other hand, not only had a brother, but her family’s wealth paled in comparison to Loretta’s,
Despite his unwillingness, Bruno didn’t express his feelings right away. Instead, he decided to take action.
He pulled Amy aside to a quiet spot, his face full of anguish. “Amy, you know my ambitions. Without Loretta’s family’s wealth. I won’t be able to realize my dreams. You understand how I feel, right?”
Amy’s heart tightened. With teary eyes, she looked at him sadly, “Bruno, do you not love me? Is it that you don’t want to marry me?”
“I do love you, but I also want to make you someone important, Bruno said, without blinking as he continued his manipulative words. “I want to marry Loretta because her family has the power to help me achieve my dreams. Once I achieve those goals, I can give you a life of wealth and luxury.”
Amy, swayed by his words, was still crying. “Even at a time like this, you’re thinking of marrying Loretta”
Bruno gritted his teeth and said the most insincere thing. “I don’t even like her. She’s so dull, she doesn’t even know how to be affectionate. You’re the one I love.”
Loretta didn’t care what Bruno was planning.
After everything that had happened, many people reached out to express their sympathy and outrage on her behalf. As the supposed victim, all she had to do was act like she was avoiding everyone and focusing on her work, and people would speculate endlessly.
Of course, there were also a few men who had long harbored feelings for her, and now they were eager to take their chance, sending her flowers and gifts to the office every day.
Tired of the constant attention, Loretta decided to visit her father under the pretext of taking a trip. The night before she was supposed to leave Yorkhaven, she contacted Malcolm.
ta had booked the hotel herself. When she arrived, she was careful to disguise herself with a mask, sunglasses, a hat and loose clothing–making sure no one could recognize her.
As she reached out to turn on the light after opening the door to the hotel room, her wrist was suddenly grabbed by a large hand, and she was pulled inside.
“Who is it?” Loretta reacted quickly, raising her foot to kick, but he next moment, that same foot was caught. A low, heavier- than–usual voice came from Malcolm “It’s me
He immediately let go of her and switched on the lights.

Loretta stared at Malcolm, who was dressed in a black T–shirt and casual pants, and asked in confusion. “If you were already here, why didn’t you turn the lights on?”
Malcolm didn’t answer. He turned and walked further into the room, taking off his T–shirt as he went. He asked in a husky voice. “Should we start, or shower first?”
Looking at how businesslike he seemed, Loretta pressed her lips together, feeling an unexpected wave of embarrassment. In a low voice, she replied, “Shower first.”
At least that would give her a moment to mentally prepare.
In her previous life, she had only been intimate with him when things were complicated and unclear between them. She had thought that this time, being with him would feel calm, but instead, her heart was racing uncontrollably.
Especially now, as she watched Malcolm strip off his clothes, revealing his back, which was strong and tanned.
Malcolm had the kind of physique that looked slim in clothes but muscular when bare. Once he took off his clothes, he looked a little dangerous.
Loretta quickly averted her gaze, her heart pounding even faster.
Malcolm suddenly turned to look at her, his gaze so deep that it was impossible to tell what he was feeling,
“If you’re going to shower, hurry up,” he said impatiently, as if what they were about to do was nothing more than a deal. Loretta’s earlier shyness suddenly disappeared. In fact, they were really just making a deal. With that in mind, there was no reason to feel embarrassed. Her demeanor shifted, and she walked toward the bathroom with the poise of a queen.
After the door to the bathroom closed, Malcolm’s ears suddenly turned red.
He clenched his fists, his chest–covered by a thin layer of muscle–rising and falling rapidly with his heartbeat. His mind raced with scenes from the erotic videos he had watched recently.
He absolutely couldn’t let Loretta realize that he was still a virgin and he wouldn’t give her the chance to mock him for it. When Loretta emerged from the bathroom, Malcolm was standing by the window, which was tightly drawn, talking on the phone with his shirt off.
Hearing her footsteps, he spoke into the phone. That’s it for now I’ll come by myself in a few days.”
He hung up and turned to look at Loretta. His eyes immediately narrowed, and a flash of excitement passed through them. Fresh out of the shower with her long hair cascading down, Loreta looked like a mermaid who had just emerged from the water. Her arched brows, long lashes fluttering softly, and her seductive eyes exuded effortless charm
Her tender cheeks were flushed with a soft pink. Her delicate lips, slightly pursed, resembled rose petals—plump and
irresistible.
Malcolm’s Adam’s apple bobbed twice, almost involuntarily. Loretta met his gaze, raising an eyebrow provocatively, her voice dripping with seduction. “We can start now.”
With that, she slowly reached for the tie of her robe, her fingers delicately pulling it loose.
That night, Loretta witnessed Malcolm’s madness and glimpsed side of him that few ever saw.
ing to her and sobbed. Later, she only laughed at him.
He was horrified by blood; when he saw the stains on the sheets, he clung once, but it turned out to be her undoing.

After they finished, Loretta felt as though her body wasn’t her own.

After several hours of sleep, she suddenly opened her eyes, remembering that her flight was at noon. She glanced at Malcolm, who was sleeping beside her, then, wincing from the aches all over, she carefully threw off the covers and picked up her clothes, unsteadily making her way to the bathroom.
Once she closed the bathroom door, Malcolm, who had seemed deeply asleep, suddenly opened his eyes wide.
There was a trace of regret in his gaze, he could have easily left while she was still asleep.
Usually, he could handle anything, even if blood splattered all over him, without batting an eye. Yet, last night, her blood had caused his heart to ache painfully, leading to an unexpected loss of control.
Even so, he didn’t want to leave early. He thought about whether she had been satisfied with last night.
He also wondered why her skin was so delicate. He had tried to be gentle, yet she still bore bruises; perhaps he should send someone to fetch some ointment.
After what felt like ages, he heard movement by the bathroom door, instinctively squeezing his eyes shut.
He thought Loretta might call out to him, but instead, he only heard her footsteps as she walked to the door and then closed it behind her.
Malcolm sat up suddenly, slamming a fist down onto the bed in frustration. “Loretta, you really are something else–leaving after using me!”
Meanwhile, Loretta had fully dressed and stepped out of the hotel, just as she sneezed unexpectedly. Adjusting her mask, she pinched her nose before getting into a taxi, instructing the driver, “Please take me to the airport.”
Once the car was on the road, she called Coby. “Coby, has my luggage been sent to the airport?”
“It’s already been taken there by Erwin Coby replied.
“Great, thanks,” Loretta said, ending the call. She then began planning what preparations to make once she arrived in Maveris.
After Loretta left, Malcolm stepped out of the hotel with a cold expression, exuding an air that made passersby instinctively steer clear of him.
Just then, his phone rang. IrLorited, Malcolm pulled it out and answered, impatience creeping into his voice. “Spit it out!” The caller, startled, hurriedly replied, “Mr. Lindsey, there’s been an incident at the company in Maveris.”
Malcolm’s irLorition deepened. “Book me a flight immediately. I go there in person.”
