Chapter 10
Loretta followed Malcolm as they headed down to the first floor, where there were still no security guards on the stairs.
When they reached the lobby, the noise was overwhelming. People were buzzing with discussions about what had just happened in the bar, while the clubs manager and the bar manager were trying to calm everyone down.
At that moment, no one noticed Loretta and Malcolm slipping through the crowd. They didn’t stop but walked straight to the elevator.
Once inside, Malcolm adjusted the earpiece in his car, pressed the button for the fourth floor, and stood silently with his hands in his pockets, staring straight ahead.
Loretta pulled out her phone to check her messages but subtly glanced at her reflection in the elevator wall, realizing Malcolm was sneaking a look at her. She didn’t call him out, waiting until the elevator reached the fourth floor to put phone away
As the elevator doors opened, they were greeted by two bodyguards waiting outside.
“Mr. Lindsey,” the guards said in unison.
Malcolm asked, “Where are they?”
One of the bodyguards respectfully replied, “In Room 424.”
“Lead the way. Malcolm commanded.
The two bodyguards guided Loretta and Malcolm down the hallway.

This floor was lined with luxury suites, accessible only to the wealthy and powerful who valued their privacy. Every suite had a few guards stationed outside, and even the servers had to obtain the guests‘ permission before entering.
As Loretta and Malcolm walked along the carpeted corridor, the walls were adorned with oil paintings by renowned artists, and at intervals stood expensive–looking porcelain vases, contributing to the luxurious atmosphere.
After walking for a while, they finally reached the entrance of Room 424, which was guarded by two bodyguards.
Once they approached, one of the guards asked Malcolm, “Mr. Lindsey, they’ve been inside for ten minutes. Should we open
the door?”
Malcolm didn’t answer; instead, he turned to Loretta.
Loretta fixed her gaze on the solid wooden door, a strong intent to kill flooding her heart. She fought to control her emotions, suppressing the urge to burst through the door and destroy the two people inside.
Noticing her silence, Malcolm assumed she was upset and still hung up on Bruno.
He crossed his arms, casting a sidelong glance at her, and mockingly said, “What’s wrong! You can’t tear yourself away from that guy inside? Or are you planning to pretend you didn’t know anything and just let it go?”
Loretta turned to him, her eyes glistening with unshed tears due to her anger.
Malcolm quickly looked away, stating with nonchalance, “I didn’t say anything wrong.”
With a cold expression, Loretta asked, ‘Do you have a room key
Malcolm immediately straightened up, his demeanor shifting. “Yes”

open.
“Wait, Loretta called out. Under Malcolm’s irLorited gaze, she dialed a number on her phone.
The call connected quickly. Loretta spoke calmly, “Uncle Coher you and Aunt Maria need to come to the Imperial Club, Room 424 on the fourth floor, immediately.”
Tsaw Amy going into the suite with a man. They were embracing as they entered. But this man is Bruno.” After she said this, Loretta hung up and dialed another mumber.
When the other line picked up, she used the same calin tone. “Mr. Young, you and Mrs Young need to come to the Imperial Club, Room 424 on the fourth floor, right away.”
“I saw your son go into this room with a woman. After saying that, she hung up swiftly.
After finishing her calls, Loretta suddenly asked Malcolm, “They take at least forty to fifty minutes to arrive. Do we have enough time?”
Malcolm seemed to realize what she was planning. His tone softened. Don’t worry. They’ve all had spiked drinks. Forget about forty or fifty minutes; as long as that man can keep up, they could be here for days and nights,”
Then, he added pointedly, “Though I bet the guy inside can only last an hour or two,”
Loretta glanced at him, sensing the jab at Bruno, but she didn’t care. What mattered to her was making sure Amy’s parents and Bruno’s parents caught them in the act.
For the next forty minutes or so, Loretta and the others stood outside the room. Whenever guests passed by, they would instinctively glance at them.
Malcolm, in turn, would shoot them a cold, menacing look that made them quickly avert their gaze.
Around forty minutes later, Cohen and Maria arrived, both looking anxious. Cohen’s face was dark with anger as he walked up and immediately demanded. “Where are they?”
Loretta pointed at the door coldly, her voice laced with unmistakable anger. “I haven’t gone in yet. I thought it’d be better to wait for you so everything’s clear when we go in together”
Upon hearing this, a flicker of hope lit up in Maria’s heart. “Loretta, are you sure you didn’t make a mistake? Amy wouldn’t be caught hugging Bruno. Maybe they’re just in there chatting”
“We’ll know for sure once Bruno’s parents get here and we go in together,” Loretta replied,
“What? You called Bruno’s parents too?!” Maria’s voice rose sharply.
Cohen’s face grew even grimmer. “Loretta, did you really need to blow this up so much? What if it’s not what you think?”
Loretta’s face remained expressionless as she stared at the couple “If it’s not, Ill apologize to everyone.”
Maria’s voice grew desperate. “Something like this could ruin Amy’s reputation. She’s always been sensitive. What if she can’t handle this and does something horrible to herself?”
Still refusing to believe her daughter could be involved with Bruno, Maria confronted Loretta, Amy has always adored you, and yet you’re doing this to her. How can you betray her like this
“Tsk!” A mocking voice interrupted from the side. “Your daughter seduced her boyfriend, and you think your daughter is the victim? If this were the old days, she would never be able to show her face in public.”
Cohen and Maria, who had come here too hastily, hadn’t notice that Malcolm had been standing beside Loretta. When

they saw him, they both froze.
Cohen’s face darkened. He turned to Loretta and demanded, “Loretta, why are you with someone from the Lindsey family?”
Before she could respond, Malcolm cut in coolly, “I happened to see your daughter and that guy hugging as they went inside, so I thought I’d stick around for the show.”
Cohen was livid. He took a few deep breaths, his face turning ashen. “You’re not welcome here. Leave immediately”
Malcolm sneered, deliberately provoking him further. I’m definitely staying to enjoy this show.”
“You-“Cohen wan enraged. He tried to push Malcolm, but two bodyguards immediately blocked him.
Malcolm’s eyes darkened with a dangerous glint as he stared Cohen down, sending a chill through him. In a low, threatening voice, Malcolm said, “Don’t even think about touching me if you want to keep your hands.”
Cohen’s heart skipped a beat as he suddenly recalled the rumors he’d been hearing about Malcolm over the past year. People said he was ruthless, even to his own family.
Cohen quickly stepped aside before turning his gaze back to Loretta. That afternoon, he had heard Loretta was planning to take them to the gemstone mines, and now he feared that after this incident with Amy, she might back out.
Moreover, Cohen was worried about John’s temper. If John found out that Amy had been cheating with Loretta’s boyfriend, it could ruin their chances of collaborating on future jewelry business deals.
The more Cohen thought about it, the more agitated he became. But he had to swallow his anger and spoke to Loretta calmly, Loretta, let’s talk about this later. No matter what’s happening in that room, causing a scene here won’t benefit anyone.
“You and Amy are so close–you know her well. There’s no way she’s hooking up with Bruno. I think someone’s setting her up, trying to drive a wedge between our families. As he said this, Cohen cast a sharp look at Malcolm, implying that he was the one stirring up trouble.
Loretta stared at Cohen, her face emotionless. “Uncle Cohen, are you suggesting we just let this go!”
“No, I didn’t mean that-” Cohen tried to explain.
“Loretta, what did you say on the phone? Bruno is having an affair with whom? Are you sure about that?” A voice interrupted Cohen, cutting him off mid–sentence. They turned to see Bruno parents, Joshua and Robin, hurrying toward them.
Bruno’s parents were in the fashion business, and Robin, being designer, carried herself with elegance and poise. As they approached, Robin immediately tried to take Loretta’s hand.
Not only did Loretta come from a rich family, she was also talented. Robin had always seen her as the perfect daughter–in- law. On the way over, she’d been thinking of how to handle the situation to make sure Loretta wouldn’t hold a grudge against Bruno.
However, as Robin reached out, Loretta stepped back, avoiding er touch. She said indifferently, “Now that everyone’s here, let’s go in and see for ourselves. I could be wrong. Maybe I misinterpreted what I saw.”
Without another word, Loretta reached out to push the door open, only to have her hand blocked by an arm. Malcolm’s lazy, drawling voice followed. “I’ve gotta be the first to see this kind of drama.”
With that, he slid in front of Loretta and shoved the door open forcefully,
Inside, there was only one room, and from the doorway, everything was visible. Scattered clothing lay all over the floor, and on the sofa to the left, Bruno and Amy were tangled up together the four parents were stunned, their faces a mix of fury and disbelief.

Within moments, they all looked away in shame. The scene was so humiliating, they couldn’t even bring themselves to confront it directly. Cohen and Joshua, their faces contorted in age, yelled simultaneously, “Bruno, get over here right now! Separate, both of your
The sight of their children in such a compromising position left the parents in a state of shock. Their minds reeled, unable to fully process the betrayal in front of them.
Suddenly, a commotion echoed from the hallway.
Theard Loretta’s boyfriend hooked up with her cousin! Hurry, let’s go–if we’re too slow, we’ll miss it!”
“This is crazy! He’s ditching someone as hot as Loretta for her cousin? He’s gotta be out of his mind.”
“I feel so bad for Loretta!”
Hearing the approaching crowd, the four parents scrambled to block the doorway, which made the group of onlookers more excited.
Cohen’s face darkened as he sternly demanded, “What do you think you’re doing?”
The group of rich kids were always eager for trouble. Now, with such a prime opportunity, there was no way they’d let it slip by
“We’re here to help Loretta catch her cheating boyfriend!” someone shouted.
“Yeah! Loretta’s our friend. We can’t just stand by while her boyfriend messes around with someone else, another chimed in
“If any of you step forward, I’ll call the police! Cohen threatened.
“Call the police? Great idea! Need some help with that?” someone from the crowd taunted.
“You better stay back!” Cohen yelled at them.
The situation escalated quickly. Pushing, shoving, angry voices, screams, insults, and jeers all mixed together, creating unter chaos.
In the middle of it all, no one noticed that Loretta was standing quietly behind Malcolm, shielded by his broad frame.
Loretta, slightly shaken by the unfolding chaos, hadn’t expected any of this. She hadn’t called these people up. As the situation became clearer to her, she glanced up at Malcolm’s towering figure and whispered, “Did you bring them here?”
Malcolm caught her quiet question, and his tone was so mean that Loretta wanted to punch him. “Since we’re going to catch that guy cheating, we’d better have a crowd. That way…”
Before he could finish, he turned and looked at her, his gaze darkening. “That way you won’t have any chance to back out.”
Loretta lowered her eyes, feeling slightly uneasy under his intense stare. “You should go. I’ll call you when this is all over,” she said softly.
Malcolm crossed his arms and sneered, “Do you even have my number?”
“Uh..” Loretta hesitated.
“I knew it!” Malcolm’s face tightened, and he added in a threatening tone, “Loretta, if you even think about using me, you better be careful or I’ll—
“What are you going to do to me?” Loretta interrupted, her wide, beautiful eyes staring directly into his. Her face, indifferent and innocent at the same time, was so captivating that it would be impossible for anyone to stay mad at her.
