ALPHA PEREZ and Serena exchange glances. The sudden change in her mood was visible and so, instead of answering, he leaned in and pressed his lips against hers. He then held the tip of his erection, pressing it against her most sensitive spot. The sensation was so intimate and intense that she couldn’t help but widen her eyes in surprise.
“What are you doing?” she asked, her voice barely audible. He responded with a sly grin, and at that exact moment, she knew exactly what he was trying to do. And she was right, especially when he slowly entered her before filling her completely.
“Aaahhh!” Her moan escaped before she could stop it, much to Marga’s displeasure. She stood outside the door with her maid, her heart sinking and her face turning pale with envy as she listened to Serena’s intimate moment with her fated mate. Flustered, Marga quickly turned and walked away, followed by her maid.
“She’s gone,” Alpha Perez smirked again before gently tracing Serena’s cheek with his thumb. Then, he began to rhythmically move his hips as he lifted one of her legs for easier access while he moved his lips down to her ear, playfully nibbling and licking it before softly biting on her lobe. “I have no intention of treating that bitch like a princess. If I need to, I will always remind her of her place.”
“The only princess, queen, luna, and empress in my life was you,” he added, reassuring Serena over and over. She responded with a smile and pulled him towards her, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss. Her tongue explored the roof of his mouth, causing him to thrust harder into her core.
She let out a sharp breath, her body twisting with pleasure. As if that wasn’t enough, he began to nibble on her neck, his groans matching the rhythm of his thrusts. The sound of the table creaking beneath them and their skin slapping was electric and arousing. They both lost themselves in the moment, unconcerned if anyone heard their passionate lovemaking because all they wanted was to be entwined together as one.
“Let’s go to the bed,” Serena whispered, and Alpha Perez immediately complied. He scooped her up in his arms and carried her towards the connecting door. As soon as they were inside their bedroom, the soft sheets welcomed their entwined bodies as they continued to lose themselves in each other.
-You’re so pretty,” he said as he couldn’t get enough of Serena’s soft curves and delicate touch. Every time they made love, it felt like the first time all over again.
“Kiss me,” she demanded, and again, he complied without saying a word. He leaned in and the once soft kiss grew more urgent, fueled by a hunger that could no longer be contained.
Serena moaned against his lips as she felt his hands roam over her body. She had never felt so wanted before, and it was intoxicating. She tangled her fingers in his hair as they continued to explore each other’s mouths.
As they broke apart for air, Alpha Perez couldn’t help but admire the sight before him. Serena was flushed with desire and her hair was disheveled from their passionate kisses. Her eyes were hazy with pleasure as she gazed back at him.
“I love you,” he whispered before capturing her lips again, and their lovemaking lasted throughout the night until exhaustion finally took over both of them. And even then, they still clung onto each other tightly as they drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, Alpha Perez woke up to find himself alone in bed. Panic coursed through him until he heard a soft humming coming from the bathroom. He got up and walked towards the source of the sound. As soon as he entered the bathroom, he saw Serena standing in front of the mirror, brushing her hair while singing softly to kerself.
She turned around when she noticed him in the reflection of the mirror and smiled.
“Good morning,” she greeted, and her mood improved drastically. It was a stark contrast from yesterday, which made Alpha Perez relieved.
“Good morning,” he replied, walking towards her and wrapping his arms around her waist from behind. He nuzzled his nose into the crook of her neck, breathing in her scent.

“I could get used to waking up like this every morning,” he whispered, placing a kiss on her neck. Serena laughed softly, turning around in his arms to face him.

When she woke up earlier and watched him sleep peacefully, she realized how exhausted he must be. It dawned on her that he probably hadn’t had a good night’s rest during his entire stay at the palace. That realization brought a twinge of guilt to her heart because she knew she shouldn’t have reacted the way she did yesterday. She should have been more understanding and empathetic, as they were both suffering physically, mentally, and emotionally.
She promised herself that if things became too difficult, she would let go of her emotions for him because she didn’t want history to repeat itself. However, she came to realize that it was selfish of her to only think about protecting her own heart.
Instead, she should focus on protecting her husband and their marriage. She needed to ensure that he wouldn’t be tempted by anyone else, and she made a vow to fight for their relationship and would do anything to secure her spot in Perez’s heart. Aside from that, she promised that she would stop letting her past experiences cloud her judgment.
“Did something happen while I was asleep? You seemed to be in a good mood.” Alpha Perez asked as Serena gently took his hand and led him towards the still–warm tub she had just finished using for her bath.
“I just wanted to pamper you,” she answered, taking off his boxers. “Get inside, I’ll give you a quick massage.”
Alpha Perez let out a soft laugh. He wasn’t sure what had happened, but he was grateful to see Serena back to her usual self. He had been worried that his decision to bring Marga home would strain their relationship, but to his relief, there was no hostility or discomfort between the two of them like there had been yesterday.
“Hmm, you’re not planning on running away after spoiling me, are you?” he asked, wanting to make sure she wasn’t doing this because she was preparing to leave him.
“Silly, of course not.” Serena’s strong yet gentle hands kneaded his shoulder muscles in a rhythmic pattern. He let out a deep sigh of relief and allowed himself to relax, his eyes fluttering closed. The tension that had been building up in his body slowly dissipated under her skilled touch.
Serena then continued to massage him, working out every knot and tight spot. But just as he was about to drift off into sleep, the sound of a knock at the door interrupted their peaceful moment. It was the maid, announcing that breakfast was ready and pulling them back to reality.
As Alpha Perez and Serena made their way to the dining hall, they were greeted by the delicious aroma of freshly cooked food. Priscilla, Beta Jarren, and Gamma Taylor were already seated at the table, ready to dig in.
The atmosphere had changed from the tension–filled day before, and now everyone was chatting and enjoying their meals while discussing the tasks they were assigned. But their conversation was abruptly interrupted when Marga burst into the dining hall, pushing past the maids who were trying to stop her from entering.
“Perez! I refuse to stay in the Annex any longer! It was a desolate place, and I despised eating my meals alone.” She let out a high–pitched whine, sounding like a spoiled child. Everyone at the table turned to look at her with disapproval, their appetites suddenly disappearing in her presence.
“Did you just address my husband without his title?” Serena arched her eyebrow, determined to show Marga who was in charge. She knew that Marga would stop at nothing to gain Alpha Perez’s favor and the sympathy of everyone, just as she had done with Calix and the crescent pack.
But at the blood moon, such tactics would not work. The pack members were not foolish enough to fall for a cunning and desperate woman’s scheme. They were aware that she would do anything to achieve her goals.
“He’s my fated mate, I can address him-”
“How dare a bastard like you act like you were part of our pack?” Priscilla abruptly interrupted Marga’s sentence, her eyes flashing with a fierce amber glow as if she would transform into her wolf at that very instant, and snapped Marga’s neck, causing her to freeze in her spot, her eyes widened in surprise at the sudden outburst and her jaw dropped slightly.

“Just because the king sent you here does not give you the authority to do whatever you want; you were only a pawn in the king’s game.” Beta Jarren chimed in; his disdain evident as he looked at Marga.
“Do you believe we would treat you with such respect? A person like you does not deserve to be treated as royalty.” Gamma Taylor’s voice rang out, a sharp and accusatory tone that pierced through the room.
Marga felt as though the whole world was closing in on her, with every set of eyes turned towards her with disdain and judgment. Even the servants present looked at her with scornful expressions. It was as if she could feel their thoughts labeling her as a worthless whore, unworthy of their respect or consideration.
Despite the tears welling up in her eyes, she clenched her fist and forced herself to maintain composure as she walked towards the table. She pulled up a chair and sat down with them, shamelessly.
