After she drifted off to sleep, he carefully slipped out of bed and grabbed his cigarette. He made his way to the balcony, lighting up and taking a deep drag. So much had happened since he and Serena tied the knot; it was almost as if the Moon Goddess was testing their bond, particularly after they made it official.

The mere thought of the way he had been drawn to her that night sent shivers down his spine. The idea of his heart racing for her was enough to cause goosebumps to rise on his skin. It wasn’t easy, but his genuine love, desire, and possessiveness towards Serena made it possible.
And even if rejecting Marga would have consequences for the pack, he didn’t mind as long as long as his chosen mate remained by his side.
