“MMMNÍ-” Serena stirred from her sleep, her eyes fluttering open to the sight of her second chance mate’s handsome face. Memories of their passionate night washed over her, causing a warm blush to spread across her cheeks.
It had been an unforgettable evening, filled with intense pleasure and satisfaction that made her gladly ignore any soreness or exhaustion in her muscles from their mating.
The way Alpha Perez called her name while thrusting hard and fast into her was absolutely mind–blowing, and the fact that he kept telling her how much he loved and liked her was truly heartwarming. It was the most satisfying and unforgettable feeling she’d ever felt; not even her experience with Calix could compare to this level of fulfillment.
“How are you feeling?” Serena blinked, realizing that her husband was already awake. He greeted her with a smile and gently caressed her cheek with his thumb in a loving gesture. “Was I too rough last night?”
“My whole body hurts, but I’m not complaining.” A chuckle escaped her lips, surprised at how she wasn’t feeling shy or awkward like she’d anticipated. Everything about this whole thing felt natural, enough for her to momentarily forget that their relationship was merely based on a contract.
“So, does this mean you’re up for another round? I heard that doing it in the morning was even more enjoyable,” Alpha Perez playfully smirked at her teasing him.
“It’s already noon, though.” Serena pinched his cheek, unable to believe that he was being sneaky. “You must have forgotten that we were going at it until the sun rises.”
Honestly, she had lost count of how many times they did it. It seemed as though they were consumed by an insatiable heat, their rest only lasted for a few minutes because they couldn’t get enough of each other. Every inch of the room had been explored, every imaginable position indulged in, leaving both of them wanting more and more.
“I can do it with you any time of the day, though.” Alpha Perez teased Serena who responded by lightly poking his nose with her finger. She then sat up, and a sharp pang shot through her back, causing her to let out a low groan and squeeze her eyes shut.
“Sorry, I might have pushed your body beyond its limits. Would you like me to run a warm bath for you? It may provide some relief from your discomfort.” He sat up and gently stroked her lower back through the fabric of his shirt that she was wearing, “You can soak in the bath while we wait for our food. I’ll ask the head maid to bring it here.”
“Hmm, that sounds good.” Serena nodded, wanting to rest and relax for the whole day, “You should join me, you must have been tired too.”
“I’m not sure that’s the best plan; it could just lead to us doing it for another couple of rounds.” Alpha Perez let out a soft laugh before reaching up to touch her nape and leaning in to plant a gentle kiss on her forehead. “Just wait here, I’ll run the bath for you.”
Serena’s heart fluttered as she watched him get off the bed, his arms stretching above his head. The sheets slipped down, revealing his defined back muscles and the faint marks of her nails from their passionate night together. Her cheeks flushed as he walked towards the bathroom, every step displaying his strength and grace.
Once he was out of sight, she covered her face with her hands, trying to calm her racing heart that still thumped wildly in her chest. She couldn’t believe how much this man affected her, even in the simplest of moments. At that exact moment, she
knew she was in trouble.
She believed it would take at least a year for her to start feeling something for him, but his consistency with everything proved her wrong. And there was no denying the chemistry between them
“Wow, what should I do?” she muttered to herself.
“What’s wrong?” Serena’s body tensed at the sound of Alpha Perez’s voice. She swiftly faced him, the noise of water splashing in the tub reverberating from the doorway of the bathroom.

They broke apart to breathe for a little while. Serena stared into his eyes which seemed to glow, mesmerized by the intensity in those orbs. It felt like she was drowning in them as if nothing else existed except for the two of them.
“What’s on your mind?” she asked while he was thrusting into her, slow but deeper and more forceful every second. He then stopped for a minute as he stared into her eyes, his thumb tracing her lower lip, looking deep into her very soul.
“Nothing, I’m happy,” He smiled before leaning in for a quick yet gentle kiss, “Although our marriage is only a contractual arrangement, I am grateful that you still agreed to marry mé despite knowing my true intentions behind the proposal.”
At that moment, Serena could sense what he was about to say, and surprisingly, she found herself eagerly waiting to hear it
more than she had expected.

“Ah, nothing. You won’t work today, right?” she asked, trying to change the subject.

“That’s right… We were both overwhelmed with work and responsibilities for the past few months, so I thought taking a week off shouldn’t be an issue, He walked towards the bedside table and filled a glass with water, hearing the hoarseness in Serena’s voice. He then handed her the glass before taking a seat on the edge of the bed while facing her, “Let’s take it easy today, and tomorrow we can go wherever you’d like.”
“Is it really okay? I’m technically the Luna of the Blood Moon pack now, shouldn’t I get some work done?” She pondered, her sense of responsibility getting the best of her.
“You’ve already done a lot of work, you know. But if you’d like to, how about we do both things? Let’s go on a tour and explore the northern region. I’ll introduce you the packs that I have successfully conquered.” He suggested and the idea didn’t sound bad to Serena, so she nodded in agreement. “Good now come here. I’ll pamper you today to make up for exhausting you last night.”

“Eeeek!” Serena let out a weird sound as Alpha Perez effortlessly lifted her into his arms. She then quickly wrapped her arms around his neck, still in shock by how easy it had been for him. His joyful laughter filled the air, and she couldn’t help but stare at him with a mix of surprise and amusement.
“I can walk,” she pouted.
“I know, but I told you I’ll pamper you today,” he chuckled before pressing his lips against her forehead once more. Her stomach filled with fluttering butterflies and her breath caught in her throat as she savored the affectionate gesture.
She pursed her lips and when they entered the bathroom, he put her down gently to the ground before carefully checking the water’s temperature. Meanwhile, Serena stood frozen in front of the mirror, her own reflection shocking her with the numerous hickeys scattered across her skin after he devoured her last night.
As if on cue, she unbuttoned the shirt she was wearing and to her surprise, there were hickeys on her breast, too. She cast her gaze downward and saw that even her inner thigh was covered in hickeys. What surprised her most was that she hadn’t noticed them earlier.
“W–what in the beast…” She mumbled, her gaze shifting to her neck as if searching for a mark. When she found none, she le out a sigh of relief. After all, they had made an agreement that no marking would be made between them unless they were both truly in love with each other, and he was glad he didn’t attempt to mark her last night.
“What’s wrong?” Alpha Perez hugged her from behind, and they then both flinched, with Serena surprised by the sudden back hug and Alpha Perez seeing her reflection in the mirror with her body exposed because she wasn’t wearing anything except for his shirt.
“You left too many hickeys, what if the pack members saw them It would be embarrassing,” she murmured, trying to keep her face stoic to conceal the embarrassment.
“What’s there to embarrass about? With how loud you were last night, I’m pretty sure the whole packhouse already knew-” Serena instinctively placed her hand over his lips, stopping him from saying anything else. She was aware that he could be correct, but the thought of the pack members hearing them last night made her want to stay inside their room all day.
“I–I’m going to take a bath now,” she stammered as she pushed him towards the door, her cheeks burning red with embarrassment. Alpha Perez let out a light laugh, finding it endearing when Serena got flustered.
He could how much she had changed ever since joining his pack Before, she used to be reserved and serious, but now she was more outgoing and unafraid to show her playful side.
“Don’t worry, they would understand it. We’re newlyweds, after all.” He playfully teased her once more before she closed the door. Serena then let out a sigh and buried her face in her hands, amazed at the playful side of Alpha Perez that she had just witnessed. Despite his teasing, she couldn’t help but enjoy that aspect of his personality.
After her frantic emotions had settled, she slowly removed her shirt and made her way towards the tub. The steam rising from the water enveloped her, inviting her in. She the slowly sank into the warm tub, letting out a content sigh as the water lapped at her skin.
