“SERENA.” Marga immediately walked towards her sister when she noticed that Alpha Perez was speaking to another Alpha “I had no idea you were going to be here. How How have you been?”
“You sure have the audacity to ask me that” Serena let out a disdainful scoff, her expression filled with contempt as she glared not only at Marga but also at Calix and their parents standing behind her.
Meanwhile, Alexia stood next to Serena, prepared to defend herut any cost. After all, Alpha Perez had given her strict orders to ensure Serena’s safety while he was away speaking with someone, knowing that the Montevars would likely try to take advantage of his absence and approach her
“How dare you to be angry after what you did?” Luna Emilia arched an eyebrow and gently rugged on Marga’s arm, urging her to step back a bit since she was standing too close to her sister “Margaeven felt guilty when you were kicked out of the pack, she said you didn’t mean what you did and tried to
“Don’t bother with the lies, Luna Emilia. I’m no longer a member of your pack, so I have no interest in whatever you have to say.” Serena cut her off, causing them to be surprised, “You were already bold enough to try and have your favorite daughter accept the recognition in my place; stop provoking me.”
“What“” Luna Emilia’s face flushed with rage, causing Alpha Robert to quickly pull her away and reprimand her to stop making a scene.
“Stop, this isn’t the place to get into an argument,” he spoke through clenched teeth, the tension evident in his voice. After taking a moment to calm himself, he let go of his wife’s hand and turned to Serena, who was currently sipping on her wine Serena, the least you could do is apologize to your sister. Do you have to make it seem like she was the one in the wro
“Did I not make myself clear, Alpha Robert? I am no longer a member of your pack, so you cannot dictate what I am allowed to say or do Serena retorted, her voice calm yet it held animosity which made her father tense up. “You’ve already cut ties in any relationship we may have had, so why do I have to tolerate this?”
Don’t be like this,” Marga chimed in, not liking how things were turning out. She pursed her lips and made sure she looked pitiful, but as usual, Serena didn’t buy any of it. “You don’t need to apologize to me. Your actions were completely understandable. I’m sorry that you were expelled because of me. Can we please just have a conversation about this and reconcile?”
As the banquet carried on and conversations flowed, most of the guests were too engrossed in their own affairs to notice the tense atmosphere surrounding the Montevar family. They might catch sight of them talking but most of them were assuming it was simply a family matter.
However, for those who were aware of the significance of the blood moon’s heirloorn–an object passed down through generations and only worn by the luna of their pack, it was impossible not to be curious about why Serena was now adorned with it when she was already married to Calix, and what exactly was going.
“Reconcile? That would only happen if you publicly admitted to being a white lotus, begged for forgiveness on your knees, and apologized for destroying my life.” Serena’s lips curled up into a smile, but her words dripped with sarcasm.
“What’s your relationship with Alpha Perez?” Calix couldn’t help but ask, itching to know the truth from herself.
He didn’t understand why, but Marga’s accusation earlier about Serena cheating weighed heavily on his mind. If it were true, it would explain how Serena could so quickly move on from their relationship. But what angered him even more was the unfairness of it all–while he and Marga were being judged by their pack, she was getting away with her actions unscathed.
“What is it to you?” Serena raised her eyebrow, but her expression quickly turned to a wince when he forcefully grabbed her hand and placed it in the blind spot, away from the prying eyes of the guests. “What do you think you’re doing? Let go of

“Calix, have you gone insan-“Alpha Robert paused as he felt an intense blood lust from another Alpha closing in. In an instant, Calix felt a sharp tug on his hand, causing him to lose his grip on Serena and stumble backward. The force was so

abrupt that it caught him off guard, and he struggled to regain his balance until he realized who had caused it.

“Do you have a death wish?” Alpha Perez stepped in and slid his arm around Serena’s waist before pulling her in close. The sudden move surprised not only her but also everyone else around them. His commanding presence caused Marga and Calix to shrink back under his piercing gaze.
“What business do you have with my fiancée?” Alpha Perez’s voice held a dangerous edge to it as he glared at Serena’s family, specifically to her ex–husband; his arm still wrapped tightly around her waist. Suddenly, his question hung heavily in the air, causing everyone in the banquet hall to fall silent and turn their attention towards them, shocked at the mention of her fiancée.
Serena could feel the tension radiating from her family, their own wolf instincts reacting to Alpha Perez’s dominant presence. At that moment, she knew she needed to diffuse the situation before things escalated any further.
After all, announcing their relationship out loud wasn’t part of their plan. Simply showing off the ring was supposed to be enough for people to understand, and yet here he was creating more scenes than intended.
“Alpha Perez,” Serena began in a calm yet authoritative tone, wanting to control the situation before it gets too worse to stop. “They were just asking how I was doing. Nothing more, nothing less.”
“My daughter’s right, we were just asking how she was doing.” Luna Emilia’s expression softened, and she smiled warmly at Alpha Perez, her previous hostility dissipating instantly.
She realized this was the perfect opportunity to take advantage of. If Serena were truly getting remarried, it would not only clear Marga’s name but also potentially bring the pack valuable connections by having the Alpha of the North as their son-
in–law.
Luna Emilia knew that by showing Serena love and affection, she could bring her back into their pack. Therefore, she strategized on how to earn her youngest daughter’s trust and favor.
“Right, my dear?” She smiled and reached for Serena’s hand. Fora brief moment, Serena was at a loss for words, but then she snorted and pulled her hand away from her mother’s grasp, fully aware of what was going through her mind.
“Who are you calling dear?” she asked, her voice dripping with venom and hatred. She no longer cared about the attention of the guests, especially since so many were already watching.
At this point, there was no use in trying to minimize the damage, she might as well make the most of it, consequences be
damned.
“Please, don’t be like this. I understand you’re upset about us kicking you out, but you knew there was a valid reason for it.” Luna Emilia explained, disregarding her husband’s warning through their mind–link, and decided to take matters into her own hands. He wasn’t being helpful, so she had to step up and make a move.
“We’re your parents, we should talk-”
“Parents? When exactly did you act like parents to me?” Serena’s voice quivered with anger. It didn’t surprise her that they would try to use her for their own benefit, but it still stung to be treated like a tool.
“How dare you try to manipulate me like this? You have always put your own interests above mine, and now you want to act like a parent?” Serena’s eyes burned with fury as she glared at her mother, refusing to give her any ground.
The guests began to murmur amongst themselves, perplexed by the tension between the Montevar family. The Montevars were well–known in the Eastern Region, but no one had ever heard about Serena being kicked out before. And now she was getting remarried to Alpha Perez, which made those who knew them wonder when her divorce from Calix had happened.
It was becoming clear that the Grescent pack was keeping many secrets hidden, and the guests couldn’t help but wonder what other surprises were yet to be uncovered.
What caused Serena to be expelled? Did Luna and Alpha ever mistreat her, or did they only start treating her poorly once

the eldest daughter returned? Many questions swirled in the minds of those present as they looked back and forth between. Serena and her family, but none of them dared to say it out loud
“Why are you not answering me?” Serena asked after a long silence, but Luna Emilia didn’t reply because she could feel the tension in the room rising.
Alpha Robert, on the other hand, knew he had to intervene and put an end to their destructive actions. Despite his personal feelings, he humbled himself and apologized to Alpha Perez before commanding his wife, Marga, and Calix to join him outside; his commanding voice was so forceful that they followed him outside without any resistance.
After they left, Serena released a tired sigh and turned to Alpha Perez, ignoring the murmurs that continued around them.
“I’m sorry,” she said softly, but he simply shook his head and gently patted hers. He had wanted to intervene earlier, but he didn’t feel it was his place. So, he stayed quiet. He was proud of her for standing her ground, though.
“Don’t be, I’m the one who should be apologizing,” he said, causing her to furrow her brows in confusion. Alpha Perez then shifted his attention to the Beta of the Alpha King, who was now walking towards them. At that moment, Serena realized why he felt the need to apologize.
“Apologies, Alpha Perez and Miss Serena, the Alpha King would like to speak with both of you in private. Please follow me.”
