Spitting out a mouthful of blood, Quintus sneered. His gaze remained sharp–no, even sharper than before! “Let me tell you this–I’d rather die than be wrong!”
With a furious roar, he lunged at his father once more.
Adolph’s gaze sharpened as he dodged the punch, but Quintus had lost himself to rage–his fists kept swinging, relentless and wild.

Adolph showed no mercy as he struck his son’s chest with another powerful punch. Yet this time, Quintus seemed as unyielding as stone, unfazed by the pain. His fists remained as fast and fierce as ever.
At last, he found an opening–his punch landed squarely on Adolph’s face!
,Adolph’s eyes widened, his expression a mixture of shock and something more complicated.
“For the honor of our nation! Warriors exist to protect the people, not for personal gain!”
Quintus kept punching. His fists rained down on Adolph’s armor.
Adolph staggered backward, instinctively raising his fists–but then, he hesitated.
“Argh!”
Quintus seized the moment, delivering a devastating blow to his father’s unarmored face.
Boom!
Adolph’s entire body flew backward, crashing into the city wall.
For a moment, the entire battlefield fell silent.
All eyes turned toward the father and son locked in their fierce duel, especially the soldiers of the Summertons‘ Army–none of them could believe what they had just seen. Someone has broken through the legendary Black Armor? That is cutting–edge technology! That armor can withstand cannon fire–how can a mere fist hurt its wearer?
However, when they saw that Adolph had not worn his helmet, they immediately understood why he had lost.
“Dad!”
As soon as the fight ended, Quintus rushed over, trying to lift his heavily injured father.

Quintus was overwhelmed with emotion–words failed him. He could only nod firmly.
Adolph smiled faintly… and closed his eyes.
“Dad! Dad-” Quintus‘ anguished cry echoed through the battlefield.
He had killed his own father. That was never his intention, which meant he had struck’too hard.
“He’s dead! General Lenoir is dead! Our commander has fallen!”
Suddenly, the Summertons‘ Army, who had held the upper hand, collapsed into chaos. Without a leader to command them, they fell into complete disarray!
“Drive them out!!” Francis took command in place of the refined Albin and shouted.
“Charge!” Albin, quickly regaining his composure, refused to back down and led the Wolf Warrior in a counterattack!
The tide of battle turned instantly.
The Summertons‘ Army was forced into retreat!
“General Quintus!” Albin rushed to Quintus‘ side, hoping to rally him for the final charge.
Yet, before Albin could say anything, Quintus roared, “From now on, call me General Lenoir! Do you understand?!”
Albin was slightly startled but quickly nodded. He walked over and patted Quintus on the shoulder. “Stay strong. Your father left with a smile on his face. He wouldn’t want to see his son crying–he would want you to keep fighting!”
“Ahhh!!” Quintus let out a thunderous roar toward the sky.
The Summertons‘ Army, terrified to its core, fled even faster through the rear gates of Zovince.
“We won! We’ve won!”
The battle–worn War Wolf Units and the weary reinforcements from Zovince were on the brink of collapse. Yet they erupted in exhilaration, and many shed tears of joy.
