Though he was alone, his presence exuded an aura of authority that immediately steadied the anxious Wolf Warrior unit.
Such was the essence of true leadership!
“The enemy is set on breaking through the city, and it’s our job to protect it. Do not be reckless–fall back now!” Emmanuel quickly assessed the situation and signaled Eve with a subtle glance.
Eve understood instantly and began preparing mines and explosives behind the wall.
Sage Payne led the remaining forces in a structured retreat.
“There’s a narrow passage inside the wall. Demolish the buildings on either side to seal it off! Ensure they Can’t enter!” Emmanuel barked his orders to Sage Payne.
It was evident the enemy was attempting to coordinate with Ezra, creating a time gap to trap Ethan at Divine Mountain, preventing his return to Congress.
But Emmanuel knew that once the Chancellor arrived, he would hold full presidential authority under Chanaea’s laws, should the president be absent.
At that moment, Ethan would be able to command Chanaea’s forces, sending them into the city to quell the rebellion in Zovince.
“Commander Lowe, we’ve run out of explosives and ammunition!” Sage reported, his tone grim.
Their efforts to take down the enemy had drained all their resources in mere hours.
Emmanuel closed his eyes, inhaling deeply, then opened them. A violent surge of energy coursed through him. With a powerful strike, he unleashed the Twin Dragons‘ Ocean Rend, crumbling the buildings and sealing off the narrow passage in a single blow.
The soldiers stood in stunned silence. Only Eve and Sage exchanged a satisfied grind. For our commander, this is routine. Why be surprised? This is the man who earned the title of the Northern Region Wolf.
Just as they completed their defenses, a deafening battle cry echoed from behind.
Emmanuel stood at the edge of the city wall, watching the enemy forces charge like an unstoppable tide. He could not help but sigh. “The Summerton family’s decades of planning… seems it wasn’t all in vain.”
From his experience, he could tell these forces were formidable–capable of conquering nearly 70% of the world’s nations. Yet here they were, launching a full–scale assault on Zovince, clearly seeking to seize ultimate power in Chanaea.
Emmanuel took a deep breath, then unleashed the Dragon–Breaking Palm with all his might.

The enemy hesitated, then began to retreat slowly.

They were facing the newest war god of Chanaea!
Salem Summerton sighed and nodded. “Such a general is rare… What a pity, though, that he will die here today. Fire!”
Emmanuel sensed the looming danger and swiftly jumped down from the city wall.
Eve nodded at him, knowing he had bought enough time for her to finish setting up the defenses.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
After another barrage of artillery from the Summertons‘ Army, the gates of Zovince were reduced to rubble.
“Charge! Capture Congress!” Salem ordered, raising his hand. The battered Summerton forces regrouped, roaring as they surged forward.
They split into two groups, with the main force of 50,000 soldiers being held back by just a thousand Wolf Warriors, suffering massive casualties in the process–a highly embarrassing outcome, but they were determined that victory would justify their sacrifices.
As they broke into Zovince, a series of agonized screams pierced the air!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Landmines exploded, throwing tanks and soldiers into chaos.
“Destroy them!”
At that moment, Emmanuel, now a whirlwind of fury, led the Wolf Warriors back into action. He moved with deadly precision, dual pistols in hand, cutting through enemy ranks with ease.
Each shot felled several soldiers, and each Dragon–Breaking Palm strike carved open massive gaps in their lines.
Despite their numerical advantage, the enemy was powerless against the ferocity of the Wolf Warriors under Emmanuel’s command.
“Push forward! Attack with everything we’ve got!” Salem’s eyes burned with fury. He was determined to seize Congress at any cost.

Finley could only sigh in resignation.
True to expectations, as soon as the final charge was launched, a thousand–strong unit emerged from behind, led by Anna and Solana.
Their forces were as fiery as the tempers of the two women!
“The feast of roasted lamb begins!!” Solana’s hands blazed with flames, torching anyone who came near.
Caught off guard, the Summertons‘ Army was ambushed from behind and thrown into disarray, their
ranks in chaos.
“Haha! This is glorious!” Emmanuel shouted, fully immersed in the battle.
“We can’t let Anna and Solana outshine us–attack!”
“Attack!”
In an instant, the Summerton forces, surrounded on all sides by the Wolf Warriors, were routed and forced to retreat.
“Fall back! Retreat for now!” Salem yelled in frustration, disbelief marking his face. What he thought was impossible had just happened.
“Sigh!!” Finley could only shake his head as he escorted Salem from the frontlines. They were facing Chanaea’s elite forces, and Salem’s reckless actions had been suicidal.
Who would have thought that a mere thousand soldiers could defeat 50,000?
Had anyone else been in charge, they might have been equally overconfident, like Salem, eager to win quickly.
“Ha! What a rush!” Anna and her team cheered.
“Commander Lowe’s timely arrival changed everything on the battlefield!” Solana commented, clearly impressed.
“Esprit de corps!” Sage raised his hand first.
“Esprit de corps! Esprit de corps!”
In front of the Zovince walls, the Wolf Warrior soldiers shouted in unison, their voices forming a wave of sound.
“Enough! Stop!” Emmanuel raised his hand, his voice cutting through the cheers. “The enemy has temporarily retreated, but the siege is far from over. We must hold our ground until Mr. Hale gives the order, and Chanaea’s forces arrive!”
“Understood!” With Emmanuel present, morale was high. “No problem!”
