Xarri ignored Gwain for now and stepped closer to Emmanuel, whispering a few words into his ear.
“What?!” Emmanuel’s fists clenched tightly as he spoke in a low voice. “But I still need to ensure Ethan’s safety right now. Your arrival is perfect–help me break through Divine Mountain’s siege and then escort Mr. Hunt to Congress!”
According to Chanaca’s wartime regulations, if the president was absent, the chancellor had the authority to assume the president’s powers temporarily. Moreover, the next day marked the start of the three–day presidential election. As long as they could hold out through that day, once the election concluded, Ethan would officially become the president. At that point, he could mobilize Chanaea’s entire military, and all rebellious forces could be swiftly eradicated.
“Alright!” Xarri nodded, his gaze finally shifting toward Gwain. His expression brimmed with confidence, and his eyes gleamed with unwavering resolve. “I just also happen to have a few things to settle with this cousin of mine–leave him to me!”
“Hmph, you’re biting off more than you can chew!” Gwain sneered with icy arrogance.
He didn’t dare face Emmanuel or Yorick, but dealing with a Lannister outcast who’d been banished from the family over a decade ago? That would be child’s play. After all, he believed himself to be the most gifted member of the Lannister family.
“No one is to interfere in their duel. Anyone who dares will be executed on the spot!”
Quell suddenly raised her sword single–handedly, her cold gaze sweeping across the surrounding onlookers like a silent threat.
A wave of chilling energy radiated from her, causing even the strongest warriors nearby to shudder slightly.
“Wow, so cool!” Beatrix immediately transformed into the siblings‘ number–one fangirl. Clinging to Mackenzie’s arm, she whispered excitedly, “Mackenzie, are they from the Dark Night Islands? They’re as badass as Rhett!”
Mackenzie simply smiled faintly, having no time to indulge her sister’s chatter at the moment.
“Hey, Yorick, let’s leave this battlefield to the young ones. Us old–timers should step aside and stop hogging the spotlight!”
Chuckling, Santiago narrowed his eyes. In the next instant, a flash of cold light appeared at his fingertips.
A hundred streaks of light followed, descending like a meteor shower toward Yorick.

“What kind of technique is that?”
The crowd gasped, astonished–they’d never witnessed a move of this caliber before. Yet their shock proved premature. What came next sent chills down their spines.

Santiago let out a hearty laugh, then kicked his silver spear into the air, flipping effortlessly onto it. Like a celestial rider atop a silver dragon, he soared forward and disappeared in pursuit.
“Hey, why did the Savage Martial Saint leave? What about the battle?”
Some of the younger warriors from Shoiya murmured nervously among themselves.
Only Kellan understood the bigger picture. Despite his usual arrogance, every move he made was calculated with strategic intent. His Royal Majesty’s plan was to use Yorick to crush the martial spirit of the Chanaeans and shatter their fighting confidence.
If a nation as vast as Chanaea couldn’t produce anyone capable of defeating Yorick, the blow to their collective morale would be catastrophic. But Yorick had made a critical mistake–joining forces with Gwain and Aora to take down Emmanuel.

Unfazed, Xarri made his move. His movements were fluid and graceful like a swan spreading its wings as he closed the distance between them in an instant.
