“D*mn it, who did this? We at the Chapel of Oros must find him and ensure justice!” Master Dalton -bellowed.
The members of the chapel were united in their anger. This was the first time in many years that someone had dared to commit murder on their sacred ground, and the victims were their own disciples.
At that moment, cries for help suddenly echoed from the mountain. “Help! Emmanuel Lowe is here to kill!”
“He’s trying to sabotage the meeting tomorrow by taking us out early!”
“Everyone, come quickly! Let’s take down this wolf together!”
The cries were soon accompanied by multiple outbreaks of fighting throughout the chapel grounds.
Master Dalton found himself overwhelmed, just as Gautier had anticipated. He immediately ordered his disciples to summon reinforcements from other areas.
Meanwhile, in the study, Rudy Hebert quickly entered and bowed, reporting, “Mr. Zelinsky, it is said that Emmanuel Lowe has sneaked up the mountain to kill. The elite guards of the study, like those elsewhere, have been temporarily reassigned!”
Ezra, who was reading, calmly set down his book.
After a moment’s contemplation, he instructed, “Rudy, don’t stay outside guarding anymore. Find a place to hide.”

She had come to find Magnus precisely to see what he was planning.
To her surprise, he immediately urged, “Hattie, hide immediately. Do not show yourself tonight!”
“Why?” Hattie was puzzled.
She had heard the rumors about Emmanuel attacking someone up the mountain, but she knew they were false. Even if they were true, he wouldn’t harm her.
“There’s no time to explain!” Magnus insisted urgently. Scanning the surroundings, he spotted a small grove and pointed to it. “If you trust me, hide there for the night. Don’t let anyone see you. Do you understand?”
Hattie saw the seriousness in her brother’s expression. Though reluctant, she trusted him and followed his instructions.
As soon as she disappeared into hiding, he saw a red figure rushing into the study and hurriedly ran down the steps.
Magnus‘ expression turned grim as he recalled details about his father.
In his memory, he had never seen his father fight. However, he knew that every day, his father practiced martial arts in seclusion.
Of course, many believed he practiced only for fitness, but who truly knew how skilled he was?
Magnus, like many others, had always seen his father as a refined scholar–elegant, cultured, and fond of books. But he knew more than most.
