He had been getting along just fine with Nathan carlier. Regardless of how Magnus planned to take sides, he had made up his mind. Without waiting for a response, he jumped into battle against Aora.
Aora had exhausted himself in countless attacks and consecutive fights against Gwain and Gale. He was starting to lose control. Suddenly, he changed his mind by abandoning his pursuit of the fleeing Nathan and grabbed Ashton before leaping away.

Blake spat on the ground and cursed. “Ignoring the man and kidnap a woman–he sure knows what he’s doing!”
After Aora took Ashton, the battlefield fell into a brief stalemate.
Someone then suggested to Gautier, “Mr. Verkade, since we’ve already started fighting, why not just wipe out the Chapman family?”
“That’s right. Otherwise, Emmanuel will have more help when we’re fighting the Wolf Warriors tomorrow. It’ll be hard!”
Someone echoed the sentiment immediately.
Gautier nodded. The Chapman family and Nathan are indeed a major obstacle. But now is not the right time to take action. If we make a move now, it might alert the enemy!If we act too soon, Emmanuel could use the chaos at Divine Mountain as an excuse to bring more people up the mountain or implement some countermeasures in advance.

As the Lannister family remained indifferent, the rest of the crowd hesitated, not daring to act recklessly.

But before Gautier could act, Gwain leaped forward, landing gracefully before Master Dhyana.

Blake agreed and stepped in. “If you want to taunt him, wait until your master’s here! Right now, he’s not here. You’re just asking for trouble. A wise man knows when to step back, you get me?”
Nathan knew they were right, but he just couldn’t hold back his frustration.
Master Dhyana spoke again, “Since Mr. Lannister is indeed a prodigy, he may ascend. Please proceed.”
Gwain waved a hand and led the Lannister family up the mountain.

Before things could escalate further, Master Dhyana intercepted. “So, it’s you, Mr. Verkade. Mayor Zelinsky has already given me a list of 300 approved individuals. You may ascend.”
