He spoke with certainty, “Emmanuel has wanted you dead for years. The only thing holding him back was your influence–your ties to powerful organizations and key political figures. Taking you out recklessly would’ve caused chaos. Now…”
He didn’t need to finish.
Even Aora understood what came next–Emmanuel was coming, and he wouldn’t hesitate this time.
Yet, Aora didn’t flinch. Instead, he smirked. “Mr. Tanner, let him come. With my current strength, Emmanuel is no threat to me.” His voice was laced with confidence.
He had fought Emmanuel before. Back then, he was stronger, but the gap wasn’t overwhelming. With the Dragon’s Reversal Essence coursing through him now, Aora knew he had surpassed him.
He mused, If Emmanuel dares to show up, he’ll die right here.
However, Teddy remained quiet.
Gautier leaned forward, speaking in a lower tone, “Master, the smart move would be to leave the Tanner estate for now. Lay low until the presidential election is over. Once Madam takes office and solidifies her power, that’s when you strike back. Emmanuel won’t stand a chance.”
-Teddy exhaled slowly, considering the words.
After a moment, he nodded. “You’re right.”
Yet, something still gnawed at him.
He added, “If I leave now, I risk losing control. Some of my allies may start siding with Mackenzie.”
He had spent years building his power and securing influence. Walking away, even for a short while, could make everything crumble.
His men had come to Zovince expecting him to lead.
Could he really afford to disappear?
Unfazed, Gautier simply smiled. “Let me handle that. I’ll keep them in line and maintain order while you’re gone. It’s only a few days–endure this, and everything will settle back in place.”
Teddy studied Gautier carefully before finally nodding. “Fine. Just don’t fail me.”
There was a weight to his words–an unspoken warning.
Gautier caught it immediately.
Oblivious to the tension, Aora remained silent.

His frustration evaporated the moment he saw who had arrived–Emmanuel.
Howard froze. His body went rigid, his face paling instantly. A bead of sweat trickled down his temple.
“I–It’s you!”
The memories of Eldoria raced into his thoughts. Tsk. Why is this guy back?!
He would never forget the humiliation–being beaten down and turned into a laughingstock in front of
everyone.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel barely acknowledged him.
His voice was calm. “I’m here for Teddy. Move aside.”
He took a slow step forward.
The message was clear–get in his way, and the person would die.
His calm demeanor only made it more terrifying.
The Tanner guards stiffened, their hands twitching toward their weapons. Many of them wanted to act–to prove their worth.
Yet Howard? He said nothing and didn’t give the order.
He didn’t dare.
So, without a single challenge, Emmanuel walked straight in.
Once he disappeared into the house, the guards grew restless, their frustration spilling over.
“Mr. Howard, give the order! We can take him down!”
“Yeah! We need to stand our ground. He’s just one man with a handful of people!”
Yet Howard wasn’t a leader.
Despite being one of the Tanner heirs, he was nothing more than a figurehead. Instead of standing his ground, he did what he did best–he turned and ran.
Back inside, Emmanuel knew something was off as he stepped into Teddy’s private chamber.
Teddy was gone.
A flicker of irritation crossed his face.
Moments later, Ironskull and Ostrich hurried in.

The two men exchanged glances before shaking their heads. “Commander Lowe, we’ve searched every inch of the mansion. He’s gone.
Aurora stepped forward as well, scanning the space.
Emmanuel turned to her, waiting.
She took a slow breath before speaking, “There’s no trace of him. He’s already gone. I don’t pick up his scent anywhere.”
This was why Mackenzie had insisted Emmanuel bring Aurora along.
She had expected Teddy might disappear when she demanded he hand over the Chamber of Commerce seal.
Anticipating this, she gave Aurora a specific task before the meeting.
Earlier, in the Chamber of Commerce hall, Aurora deliberately walked past Teddy, leaving a subtle yet distinctive scent–one that only she could perceive.
With her extraordinary sense of smell, she could instantly tell whether he had been there just by passing through.
Emmanuel’s jaw tightened. “Aurora, track him. We leave now.”
Ironskull and Ostrich hesitated. “What about us?”
They were both from the Black Wolf Team. They couldn’t just be left behind.
Emmanuel’s response was cold and direct. “Burn the Tanner Residence to the ground. Then report back.”
He had wanted to do this for a long time.
Now that Teddy had lost his Chamber of Commerce leader position, there was no reason to hold back.
Ironskull and Ostrich grinned. “With pleasure.”
Within minutes, flames erupted, engulfing the mansion.
From a distance, Gautier watched the fire climb into the night sky.
A slow smirk spread across his face as he thought, Zovince is going to wake up to chaos tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Aora, stationed as Teddy’s guard at the retreat, noticed the blaze behind them. His hands clenched into fists, rage boiling beneath his skin. “Mr. Tanner! Your mansion… It’s burning!”
Teddy’s expression darkened, his jaw clenching.
Still, he hadn’t spent decades clawing his way to power just to lose control now. He knew when to strike- and when to endure.
Clenching his teeth, he suppressed his anger and thought, Stay calm. This isn’t the moment for revenge.
However. Aora was not as rational. He intended to go back and kill Emmanuel himself.

His voice was firm, unwavering.

He was convinced–this time, Emmanuel would fall.
However, Teddy remained firm. His voice was cold. “No. Keep moving. You’ll get your chance–just not now.”
Aora clenched his fists, suppressing his rage.
Still, Teddy had given his order, and he had no choice but to obey.
Deep inside, his fury burned.
His voice was low and seething. “Next time, I’ll destroy him.”
Meanwhile, Emmanuel gripped the wheel, speeding through the dark roads with Aurora beside him.
It didn’t take long before Aurora picked up the unique scent.
Her eyes sharpened. “Commander Lowe, the scent is fresh. He went north.”
“Hold on tight.” Emmanuel’s hands tightened on the steering wheel, his eyes burning with quiet fury.
“Wolf Warriors… tonight, I settle the score.”
