Chapter 2220 The Unbreakable Strategy!
“And how exactly do you plan to do that?”
Emmanuel had already guessed Magnus‘ intentions, but he wanted to hear it directly from him.
“If they try to kill you and you end up killing them instead, who in this world would dare justify their actions?” Magnus smirked, his confidence growing. “Once Ezra Zelinsky is dead, I will have his word as proof that I’m the rightful heir to the Zelinsky family. Slowly taking control of the family’s core power won’t be difficult. And whether Maxwell is actually dead or not–if he dares to show himself, we’ll make sure he becomes a real corpse. Without Ezra, that useless fool won’t amount to anything.”
“Brilliant plan.” Emmanuel clapped his hands but smiled without warmth. “This strategy is a guaranteed win for you.”
“What makes you say that?” Magnus smirked with interest.
“Your so–called ‘counter–strategy‘ is just an act,” Emmanuel exposed him without hesitation. “You’ll pretend to go along with your father’s plan to kill me. If he succeeds, you gain merit for your loyalty and secure your place as the Zelinsky family’s heir. But if I manage to survive and take him out, you still inherit the Zelinsky family–and gain my trust in the process. Either way, you come out on top.”
“Ten points to Lowe.” Magnus‘ grin widened, openly admitting it. “Fools and opportunists bet on a single side. True strategists orchestrate the game, ensuring that no matter how it plays out, they emerge victorious. That’s what I do.”
Emmanuel didn’t resent his words. In fact, he had always known Magnus to be this type of person–and capable of executing such plans.
To defeat the strong, one must first respect and acknowledge their strength. Emmanuel never let his past victories against Magnus make him complacent; if anything, he had continuously studied his tactics.
“An unbreakable strategy is the pinnacle of manipulation.” Magnus continued, his voice full of certainty. “If you don’t plan to retire from this world, whether you like it or not, you will eventually be swept into the power struggles of the elite. The only way to survive is to plan ahead and build your strength, reaching a level where your moves become inevitable and cannot be countered.”
“That’s a valuable lesson.” Emmanuel acknowledged his reasoning without resistance.
At that, Magnus continued with a chuckle, “I know you don’t consider me a friend, but that doesn’t mean we can’t work together again. I’ll be direct–Catherine Zelinsky and Mason Morgan have joined forces. Their goal is to eliminate both you and Ethan Hale. Even if I tell you right now that they’ve set up an ambush at Divine Mountain, you’ll still go there, won’t you?”
Emmanuel didn’t respond.
“Ezra’s order to me is simple: Get you to go up the mountain alone to protect Hale. Once you’re isolated, they’ll mobilize everyone to kill you both.” Magnus continued with a smirk. “They’re only worried that if you don’t go, and they kill Hale first, you’ll lead the Wolf Warrior Unit straight into Zovince. At that point, nothing would be able to stop you, and all their carefully laid plans would crumble.”
Emmanuel found himself chuckling at the irony.
“Ridiculous, isn’t it?” Magnus said casually. “Ezra underestimates you. He thinks you’re a coward who values his life above all else, driven purely by ambition. But even if I weren’t here playing double agent, you would

Emmanuel still found it amusing. “So, you came to me just to convince me to go alone?”
“Exactly.” Magnus nodded.
Emmanuel didn’t bother giving him an answer. He simply turned and walked away. But from behind, Magnus called out, “Even if you don’t agree, I’ll make sure you end up going alone when the time comes.”
Emmanuel smirked in disdain. Looks like this guy has gotten addicted to his so–called unbreakable strategies.
After the conversation with Magnus, Emmanuel’s mood didn’t improve much.
Though he was certain that Magnus and Gautier weren’t exactly allies, it didn’t mean Magnus was on his side, either.
The presidential election was entangled with countless forces, each with its own hidden agenda. But after speaking with Magnus, Emmanuel had gained some clarity–his role as the Wolf Warrior Supreme Commander wasn’t just about fighting; it was about securing the greatest advantage for his side in this ongoing power struggle.
But all of that would only matter if Mackenzie won the Chamber of Commerce election the next day. If she lost, everything would spiral into chaos.
Just as Emmanuel turned back toward the hotel, he suddenly felt an overwhelming force surge behind him. Spinning around, he saw a shadow darting toward him at an alarming speed.
Such sheer power!
Caught off guard, Emmanuel barely had time to react before the attack came. He quickly enhanced his agility, dodging three rapid punches in succession.
From a distance, Magnus watched, his eyes widening in amazement. The two figures moved so fast that six afterimages flickered in the air.
This was the kind of martial skill that even a genius like Magnus envied–such mastery was almost otherworldly.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
In the blink of an eye, Emmanuel and the attacker exchanged ten moves. Though Emmanuel had lost the initial advantage and was completely on the defensive, he refused to be overwhelmed.
Boom!
Finally, on the twelfth move, Emmanuel found an opening. Seizing the moment, he launched a powerful palm strike, forcing the attacker back.
“Haha…” The old man chuckled as he halted his advance. “It’s been a while, kid. Your skills have improved again.”
“You too, Santiago!” Emmanuel grinned, recognizing the familiar face, and stepped forward. “What brings you to Zovince? Here for the Divine Mountain duel?”
“Yeah. It’s time to settle things.” Santiago folded his arms behind his back, his expression growing serious. “This year’s New Year is going to be livelier than ever. You, more than anyone, are going to be facing the

most trouble. The least I can do is take a bit of that burden off your shoulders.”
“Haha, a bit? More like a whole d*mn lot!” Emmanuel laughed. “If you take on my biggest problems, the rest won’t be enough to crush me.”
“Don’t get too optimistic,” Santiago warned him. “Your martial skills have advanced, but so have your enemies. And you still don’t even know how many of them you’ll be facing.”
Emmanuel nodded, letting out a quiet sigh.
“If you win the Chamber of Commerce election tomorrow, take some time for seclusion before the final battle.”
Santiago had already noticed what Emmanuel was working on–his attempt to combine the Heart of the Sun technique with his semi–genuine Dragon Tome to create a new martial art technique.
“If you can master your new technique, you won’t have to fear anything,” Santiago stated plainly.
Emmanuel smiled. Of course, Santiago figured it out after just a few exchanges. But more importantly, Emmanuel could also tell that Santiago had grown even stronger. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to suppress him for eleven moves before he managed to counter.
“Alright, we’ll talk more about this later. Since you’re here, join us for a feast. No leaving until we’re drunk!”
Emmanuel cut the conversation short. He was still worried about Mackenzie handling the representatives back in the hall. With Gautier and his people around, there was no telling what kind of tricks they might try to pull.
“Haha! As long as there’s good wine, I have no complaints!” Santiago agreed without hesitation. This trip back to Zovince wasn’t just for business–good liquor was also a necessity.
