The man with the massive arms quickly realized that treak of silver light was speeding toward him.
At first, he considered ignoring it, intending to take out Hattie first, since the distance was so great.
But it didn’t take long for him to realize that the silver light was moving faster than he’d anticipated–and growing faster with each passing moment.
“Dammit, watch me blast you away!”
The giant–armed man wanted to flaunt his unmatched strength and raised his fist, preparing to smash the silver light out of the air.
But the tall woman beside him suddenly shouted, “Don’t be reckless!”
Thanks to her timely warning, he hesitated and quickly pulled his punch, shifting to the side just in time.
Boom!
The silver light zipped past him, narrowly missing, but the force of the air from its passage caused a sharp pain to shoot through his chest. A deep, gory wound appeared, one that was impossible to ignore.
But that wasn’t all. The silver streak didn’t stop–it tore through the stone wall behind him, leaving a perfectly circular hole in its wake.
“T–This!“.
The members of the Wolf Warrior Unit watched in stunned awe, their faces lighting up with a mix of astonishment and joy.
They’d been struggling with how to break through these stone walls. They feared the collapse of the structure, and their guns and small weapons hadn’t been able to penetrate the tough material.
Never had they imagined that such a terrifying and flawless power could exist–power capable of blasting a hole straight through the thick stone!

The tall woman acted in a flash, her speed so blinding that afterimages of her movements lingered in the air.
Her path was anything but predictable. The afterimages followed erratic, unpredictable lines, making it nearly impossible to track her.
She drew twin blades and lunged toward the drunken man, aiming to strike him down.
“Be careful!”
Hattie, grateful for the man’s timely rescue, couldn’t help but worry aloud.
Lexi, Aurora, and the others watched anxiously, their fists clenched tightly.
At this moment, the Wolf Warrior Unit lacked a true expert to stand against the Five Poison Sect. The drunken man had given them hope, and they didn’t want that hope to be crushed just yet.
She was close.
Closer still.
The drunken man remained utterly still, not making a move.
The Five Poison Sect’s protectors assumed the tall woman’s speed was too much for the half–drunk man to process in time.
A smug grin played on the woman’s lips as she closed in. At this distance, she was certain she would land the killing blow.
But then…

Her blade struck only air!
The drunken man swayed back and forth, yet by some stroke of luck, he miraculously dodged the fatal blow with perfect timing.
The smile on the tall woman’s face immediately stiffened, but her hands and feet remained swift. With a speed nearly impossible to catch with the naked eye, she struck again, her sword flashing in rapid Succession.
She refused to believe that this drunken man had such incredible luck.

Even with the truth revealed, the experts of the Five Poison Sect still couldn’t believe it.
If it was just a matter of speed, the Grand Scorpion Protector was no slouch–she might even be faster than the drunken man. Yet, Santiago was not only able to dodge her moves, but he could also keep up with her speed?
“He’s not listening, so it looks like I’ll have to teach him a lesson!”
The drunken man grinned devilishly. “Although hitting a woman will get me called a dirty old man, there’s nothing I can do about it!“–
With that, he suddenly stretched out his hand, as though performing a child’s gymnastics routine, and poked the tall woman’s abdomen with two fingers.
In the same motion, he delivered a swift kick to the back of her knee. The tall woman gasped, clutching her stomach as she collapsed to the ground, kneeling.
She tried to get back up, but to her horror, a wave of heat radiated from her abdomen. Her entire expression froze, and she knelt, completely immobilized.

The muscular man and the others shouted in unison.
In their eyes, the drunken man’s actions had been sluggish, like an old man doing stretches. The tall woman was clearly acting–had she gone too far with her theatrics?
“The fastest speed in the Five Poison Sect… it’s slowing down!”
The drunken man smirked as he spoke.
The words fell on everyone’s ears like a mockery.
The once unstoppable speed that even the Wolf Warrior Unit couldn’t counter–now he was claiming it was slow?
“Heh… or did I just get faster?”
He took another swig of his drink, savoring the moment.
Seizing the opportunity, the muscular man launched a surprise attack!
