Florus Admon, holding Caden, remained silent.
Despite her age, her unparalleled cultivation had slowed her aging, leaving her with a youthful appearance. Her lack of marriage or motherhood didn’t diminish her natural maternal instincts, and she found herself doting on the adorable child.
Watching from the side, Gautier couldn’t help but smile. The scene reminded him of a scene from a drama.
Suddenly, cold laughter echoed from ahead. “Haha! This path is mine, this tree is my doing. To pass through here, leave a toll behind.”
“Men to the left, women to the right–up against the wall. This is a robbery!”
A gang of mountain bandits armed with a variety of weapons surrounded them.

Gautier chuckled inwardly. The infamous Ken, a traitor within Mackenzie’s ranks, clearly had ties to these bandits.
It was the first time Gautier came to West End, but he had been keeping an eye on the situation long ago. He had heard about the previous incidents where the rich businessmen of Silvergate were attacked by bandits, which suggested that there was a traitor.
He never expected the traitor to be the head of West End. It seemed that Ken had been gaining profits.
Surprisingly, Mackenzie was able to head to the headquarters of the Five Poison Sect, forcing them to kidnap her child to threaten her to retreat.
“Believe me or not, Mr. Willy’s sister–in–law was left behind at the foot of the mountain. We need your help to delay the Wolf Warrior for two days,” Gautier declared.

The leader froze. He hadn’t expected Gautier to be so ruthless when he looked so gentle.
“Boss!”
As the other bandits reacted, Gautier grabbed the leader’s throat.
“Don’t move, or I’ll kill him!” Gautier shouted.

Florus Admon admired Gautier’s cunning–beneath his refined exterior lay the ferocity of a wolf.
Nevertheless, some bandits, indifferent to their leader’s fate, attempted a sneak attack.
After all, there were still some of them who wanted their leader dead and to take his place.
Gautier did not expect the sneak attack. He was in a daze.
Unfazed, Florus Admon’s red sleeves flicked, unleashing a volley of steel needles.
