“Protect Her Holiness! Secure the retreat route!” the Wolf Warrior Unit roared, their morale reignited.
They unleashed a barrage of gunfire, targeting every shadow that moved on the mountainside. It seemed like the Five Poison Sect troops were faltering momentarily, but they continued to press forward, relentless as ever.

“Ahhh!” Claudette and Laura stood motionless, their faces drained of color with fear. They were unprepared for the battlefield, especially not for such brutality. In that instant, Laura profoundly regretted bringing Claudette to the front lines.
“Lexi, get a team together to escort Claudette and Libby out of here!” Mackenzie barked, her voice cutting through the chaos.
“What about you, Ms. Quillen?” Lexi asked, her voice trembling. She was, after all, just a secretary in the business world. This was a real battlefield, far beyond anything she was prepared for–and she knew she wasn’t cut out for it.
