“I didn’t find anything, but I figured someone else must have by now, right?”
Quintus replied, suddenly noticing the expressions of those around him.
“Wait… don’t tell me no one found anything? That was a convoy of dozens of
trucks!”
No one answered him.
Quintus grew more certain of his suspicion and yelled, “What’s going on?
Didn’t they say these mountain roads were impossible for trucks? Even if they
forced their way through, they wouldn’t have gotten far and would’ve left
tracks behind, right?”

Finally, Mackenzie broke the silence. “Quintus, where exactly is this lake you
mentioned? Did you see any tracks along the way?”
“It’s toward Riverhaven. There weren’t

loudly.
Mackenzie furrowed her brows in deep thought. She had no idea how the
supply trucks had seemingly vanished into thin air, and if even she was
stumped, the others were even more lost.
“This is seriously like something out of a nightmare!” Quintus shouted. “Alright,
let’s split up and search again!”
Before he could rally the members of the Wot Warrior Unit, Anthony and Ken
approached Macientie with urgency
Wys. Quillen, you’ve got to find a solution now! The disaster–sticken areas in
Riverhoven are pressing me hard for more supplies, if we can’t deliver, people
are going to diet Anthony sidemed, practically stomping in frustration.
Other leaders from Silvergate followed, joining in the outory.
Ms. Quillen, you promised that if we couldn’t recover the supplies, you’d take
full responsibility. You’ll have to compensate us for our losses!
“Exactly! Not only have the bandits escaped, but we’ve also been running in

Satisfied with the effect, Quintus dusted off his hands and smirked. “Huh, I’m
getting bored anyway. I don’t mind having a little spar!”

Lexi couldn’t help but chuckle. These people were practically asking for
trouble by annoying Quintus, especially when it involved his precious
Mackenzie.
However, while Quintus could act this way, Mackenzie had to consider the
bigger picture. She needed to calm the group down. “Everyone, I said I’d take
responsibility, and I will. But it’s been less than two days since this happened,
Don’t you think it’s a bit unreasonable to pressure me so soon?”
Her words finally brought the group to their senses, and their expressions
softened.
“Ms. Quillen, we still trust you, but you need to give us a reasonable timeline.
We need to know how long it’ll take to recover what was lost,” Anthony urged.
“Yes, Ms. Quillen. Please give us a clear deadline for when we can expect to

The group shifted tactics, continuing to apply pressure on Mackenzie
differently. Lexi, Quintus, and the others all looked toward her. In a situation
like this, Mackenzie would still have to promise to take responsibility, but how
much pressure could she endure?
“Ten days!” Mackenzie Quillen said firmly, her expression unwavering. “If I don’t
recover the supplies within ten days, I’ll take full responsibility for all the
losses!”

“We’ll continue to trust you and follow your orders!”
“If you manage to recover the lost goods in ten days, Ms. Quillen, I’ll pledge

The crowd continued to shout their praises.
Quintus and Lexi wanted to voice their concerns, thinking Mackenzie might
have been too hasty in making such a promise. But before they could speak,
Anthony came forward again, his face twisted in worry. “Ms. Quillen, their
personal goods can wait, but Silvergate, as the disaster relief headquarters
for the West End, can’t wait ten days for the supplies! If we can’t deliver the
emergency relief materials to Riverhaven within three days, not only will I lose
my position, but many lives in the disaster zone will be lost without essential
supplies!”
As much as Quintus and Lexi found Anthony insufferable, seeing him
constantly complain in front of Mackenzie without contributing much, they

victims.”
Anthony immediately brightened at the idea but quickly frowned again. ¿Ms.
Quillen, that’s a great plan, but acquiring several million dollars worth of

Quillen to handle everything for you?” Quintus couldn’t hold back any longer,
grabbing Anthony by the collar. Anthony trembled in fear–he knew he
couldn’t handle a single punch from Quintus‘ large fists.
“Quintus, don’t scare Mr. Quail,” Mackenzie said gently. “Even if the merchants
don’t have enough, the people of Vinehurst might. Once we reach the town,
we’ll organize a charity drive, and we’ll purchase what we can at the same
time. Together, it should be enough to solve the problem.”
“You’re brilliant, Ms. Quillen! You’re never short of solutions!” Anthony quickly
praised her, giving her a thumbs up and deciding to keep his whining to

“Quintus, lead the team. We’ll divert to Vinehurst! If we come across any
bandit camps along the way, burn them down!” Mackenzie knew that time
was running out, and they could no longer afford to be merciful. Every minu

“Understood!” Quintus said, letting go of Anthony and heading off to prepare
for departure.
The others quickly dispersed as well.
Mackenzie then spoke quietly to Rhett, “Your injuries are severe, Rhett. Ride
with me in the car.” She leaned closer and whispered, “Have the Ophanim.
Clan elites stay behind and continue searching the area. I refuse to believe
that dozens of trucks full of supplies could just disappear. Make sure to have

Rhett nodded and, as Mackenzie got into the car, relayed her orders to A
and Falcon.
The convoy continued west, though the new route would form a triangle,
diverting first to Vinehurst in the northeast of Riverhaven.
After a day of smooth and uneventful traveling, the group soon arrived at
Vinehurst, the oldest winemaking town in Chanaea. The town was filled with
distilleries and taverns, though merchants selling basic necessities were fev
and far between.
Upon arriving, the main group set up camp at the edge of the town to rest.
while Lexi was sent ahead to begin purchasing relief supplies.
