“No, Daniel Brown, it’s my fault, Anna Green said pitifully, holding onto Daniel Brown.
I took a deep breath, turned to look at the employees nearby.
“Call security and have this man thrown out. Anna Green needs to go to HR and handle her resignation. Also, the office has surveillance cameras. Í thought modern people knew that. Before you slander me, use your brain first.”
Lily White, what
u are you making such a fuss about?!” Daniel Brown frowned and glared at me in anger.
I couldn’t bear the pain any longer and collapsed to the floor, my face pale.
Daniel Brown finally noticed I was in discomfort. His expression became panicked. He shook off Anna Green’s hand and immediately crouched down.
“Lily White, what’s wrong?”
I held my stomach and pushed him away, cold sweat dripping down my forehead. I turned to look at the employee who was crouching beside me
“Can you take me to the hospital?”
The employee picked me up and quickly rushed to the elevator.
Only then did Daniel Brown snap out of his dazed state and try to follow.
But Anna
na Green grabbed Daniel Brown’s arm, looking pitiful
“I didn’t mean to, I didn’t know…”
and off with one hand
“Alright, alright, I know,” Daniel Brown said, half–heartedly. He looked in the direction of the elevator, pulling Anna Green’s hand and leaving without looking back.
Leaving Anna Green behind with a grim expression, standing in the office, subject to gossip.
