Chapter 7
Chapter 7
The next morning, Pirro was in high spirits as he prepared everything and took me to the civil registry to get our marriage certificate
When he held the little red book in his hands, his eyes grew slightly misty, and he couldn’t help but tremble with excitement, despite being nearly 30.
I couldn’t help but laugh. “Are you really going to cry?”
He smiled sheepishly, his voice low. “You don’t understand. Now I feel secure.. no more fear that you’ll suddenly leave me
He happily flipped through the marriage certificate, then took me to choose rings. He spent a long time considering each design, making sure to choose the perfect one.
After picking the rings, he looked at me with eager anticipation. “Mandy, we still need to order a wedding dress. I want to give you a real wedding, one with no regrets”
I was touched by his sincerity and souled softly. “We already have the marriage certificate, and the wedding is over. Why go through all the trouble again?”
His expression was determined. “No, that wedding doesn’t count. I want one that’s truly ours.”
I sighed, shaking my head. “Fine, but let’s want a little. I’m really exhausted right now.”
As soon as we got home and sat down, my phone rang. It was Beno, his voice urgent and angry.
“Mandy, what’s the meaning of this? Is this deliberate? Are you trying to provoke me??
I furrowed my brow. “What do you mean?”
He sent me a screenshot, and it was a picture from Pirro’s social media–our marriage certificate and newly bought wedding rings.
Before I could reply, Pirro had walked over, taking the phone from my hand.
He answered the call with an icy tone, impatience evident.
“This is exactly what it means. Nothing more. Don’t worry. I don’t have time to deal with you. And in the future, don’t contact your little aunt anymore.*
With that, he hung up the phone without another word.
Trouldn’t help but laugh.
Pirro looked slightly uncomfortable as he scratched his nose but spoke with a sense of righteous pride. “He needs to understand what respect looks Like
I sighed lightly, looking at him with genuine affection. “You know, this is giving me an unexpected sense of security.”
A flicker of joy crossed his eyes, and his lips curved upward. “That’s good to hear. From now on, I’ll be your most reliable support, Mandy. You need to remember that.”
I smiled at him, feeling a warmth I hadn’t felt in a long time.
He took my hand, his voice soft. “Don’t worry, I won’t let you waver again.”
Just as we were basking in this tender moment, his phone rang. After answering, his secretary’s anxious voice came through the speaker.
“Mr. White, there’s an issue at the company. When can you come back?”
He bring up the phone, his face apologetic as he looked at me.
“Mandy, it looks like I need to head back to handle some work issues. But don’t worry, once 1 finish, I’ll take you on a honeymoon and make it up to you.”
I smiled faintly and reassured him. “It’s fine, your work is important. We can talk about the rest when you get back”

Love, Hollow Promise
Chapter 7
He looked at me with warmth and regret.
After a quick pack, he booked a flight back to M country to deal with his business.
After he left, I went back home, and my parents urged me,
“He’s out there working so hard; you should care more. Since he’s traveling, why don’t you go and keep him company?”
After thinking it over, I realized they had a point, so I secretly booked a flight to M country, planning to surprise him
However, to my surprise, at the airport, I ran into Beno and Yuna
