The room fell int
into a stunned silence as everyone froze, unable to believe such an explosive scene was unfolding at this event.
“Oh my God, isn’t that the CEO and his assistant? They’ve been hooking up this whole time?”
“They always seemed so professional, but behind the scenes? Wow.”
1 knew something was off. No employee calls their boss by first name unless there’s something going onL”
The murmurs grew louder as I quietly stepped off the stage, taking a seat to enjoy the show.
the time the host scrambled to stop the video, it was nearly over.
“This this must be fake! Yes, Al–generated!” Ethan stammered desperately. Don’t believe it!”
His excuse was laughably weak The audience, full of business elites, could easily tell real from fake.
Ethan’s face turned ashen as he noticed potential clients shaking their heads and leaving.
The once–admiring crowd now looked at him with disdain.
Suppressing his anger, Ethan grabbed the microphone.
“Sophie and I are innocent! Don’t trust what you see–it’s all a setup! My wife can vouch for me. I’ve
e never cheated!”
All eyes turned to me as Ethan approached, thrusting the microphone into my hands.
“Help me,” he whispered. “You know what to do.”
I raised an eyebrow, amused that he still thought I’d unconditionally support him.
Was he overestimating himself? Of course, I wouldn’t waste this golden opportunity.
Taking the microphone, I stepped back onto the stage.
Pretending to wipe my eyes, I looked up with tears glistening.
Tim so sorry this joyful night has turned into such a mess, but Ethan is right–someone is trying to frame him.”
The audience was shocked, unable to believe I was defending him.
A flicker of relief crossed Ethan’s face, but it vanished with my next words.
“However, the affair between him and Sophie Quinn is real. They’ve been involved for a long time and even tried to push me, the legal wife, out of the picture.”
Gasps rippled through the hall as I pulled out the photos Sophie had sent me and tossed them into the crowd.
Until earlier, I wasn’t sure who had sent the photos
But Sophie’s taunting earlier confirmed it–it was her.
