Chapter 11 

I woke up early in the marriage apartment with Maron, only to find him on the balcony, speaking to someone on the phone, 

I walked over and heard him arguing. “How dare you co

“If you truly love her, you should leave Newford and stop dreaming she’ll ever forgive you.” 

“She’s my wife. We’ll share the same bed, and we’ll die in the same grave. You’ll never have a chance with her.” 

On the other end of the line, there were curses. I knocked on the window, and he turned around, his gaze soft.

Isaac looked at me in disbelief, shouting, “What are you talking about?!” 

I stepped back in fear, and Macon wrapped his arms around me. 

“You can leave now, or should I call security to throw you out?” Macon said coldly. 

*Summer, please, can we just talk alone?” 

I looked at the man before me in disarray, unable to understand how I had ever loved him
