They slowly faded from my view, and I stood still, my fingers digging painfully into my palm.

“I don’t want you to marry him. I’ll miss you too much 

Isaac shot her a stern glare. “If you don’t want her to marry me, then who do you want her to marry?” 

Tsang playfully pulled me toward him, jealousy in his eyes. 

For a moment, I felt dazed, like everything that had just happened was a hallucination. 

They were still the two most important people to me. 

But when I looked up, I saw the Epstick stain on Isaac’s collar–the same shade as the one on Emily’s lips 

I reached up and touched his collar, and he flushed, looking awkward. “Summer, didn’t we agree not to be affectionate in front of your friends?” 

I paused, then pulled my hand away and reached further into his collar. I pulled out a long strand of yellow hair.

Both of them stiffened, and Emily laughed openly. “Hall was hoping to make him look presentable before you came.” 

“I wanted to surprise you.”

Isaac scratched his head sheepishly. “I guess I’m just not good enough to give you a surprise.” 

I stood there, listening to them banter back and forth, and suddenly lost all interest in confronting them.
