Chapter 1010
Chapter 1010
That conversation….
Lena shuddered.
Yeah, she had definitely come back too early.
It was best to leave now before she ruined the mood for those two inside.
Not wanting to hear any more, she quickly turned to leave only to smack her leg against a nearby chair.
The pain was real, but worse was the noise it made, drawing attention to her presence.
Inside the room, Hayden–already feeling awkward from Keira’s teasing–froze. The sound from outside made him even more uncomfortable.
Keira couldn’t hold back her laughter.
The moment Keira burst out laughing, however, pain shot through her lower abdomen.
“Ah–ow!” Keira gasped.
Hayden immediately panicked. “What’s wrong? Where does it hurt?”
Hearing her cry, Lena rushed in as well. “What happened?
“I laughed too hard and pulled my stitches,” Keira explained, gripping Hayden’s hand tightly.
Lena glared at Keira. “You’re a mother now, and yet you’re still acting like a child. Do you have any idea what condition you’re in?”
She meant more than one thing, and they both knew it.
Their eyes met, and they couldn’t help but snicker at the inside joke.
Hayden, however, was still worried about his wife. Though he was clearly embarrassed, his concern outweighed his discomfort. He turned to Lena, “Is she okay? Does she need a check–up?”
“I’ll take a look,” Lena said, grabbing a pair of disposable gloves from the medical cart.
This time, Hayden didn’t leave.
But Lena reminded him. “President Hart, aren’t you going to step outside?”
He glanced at Keira. He was obviously reluctant, but she was still too embarrassed.
“Why don’t you go pour out the water?” Keira suggested, avoiding his gaze. “Besides, I don’t think I need a check- up. I feel fine.”
“Better safe than sorry,” Hayden said firmly. But he still picked up the basin of used water and stepped out.
Once he was gone, Lena examined Keira. “No issues, but you need to be more careful.”
Then, she leaned in closer.
“You’re pretty wild, huh?” she teased in a hushed voice. “Not even three hours after giving birth, and you’re already flirting with your man? What’s wrong, is he too well–behaved for you, or do you just have some needs?”
Keira flushed at her words but refused to back down.
“This is called marital bonding, okay? Anyway, now that I given birth, a lot of privileges can go back to normal, “Keira said boldly.
Lena shot her a look. “Not for another three monthe
Keira frowned dramatically. “That long?”
“What, can’t wait anymore? You went twenty–something years without a man and never acted this desperate before,” Lena mocked.
“That’s because I’d never had a taste of it. Once you try, you realize how good it is,” Keira shot back, shamelessly.
Lena finished tidying Keira up and tossed her gloves into the medical waste bin, mumbling. “I don’t see what’s so great about it.”
She had been there, done that—but ever since breaking up with Nate, she

She had been there, done that—but ever since breaking up with Nate, she had pretty much stayed single. Keira nudged her white coat with her toe. “That’s because you’ve been out of practice for too long.”
She immediately took a step back. “Don’t touch me. I’m sterile.”
Keira smirked. “Uncle Aaron seems really concerned about you.”
“That’s only because your husband gave him an assignment. Honestly, do we owe you two something? Spending New Year’s Eve here with you and dealing with your wild imagination?” Lena scoffed, though she was already lifting my baby into her arms as she spoke.
To be honest, ever since Keira’s daughter was born, Lena had held her more than she had.
She had only carried her for a few minutes before Hayden took over, worrying that she would get tired.
