Olivia’s cutting words immediately silenced the room.
My face devoid of any emotion, returned to my seat, clutching my phone tightly

On the top floor, in Mr Strakovski’s office, Lukas phone buzzed, displaying the name “Emily Scholl on the screen. He hesitated momentarily before answering the call.

“You’ve never defended me like this before.” Emily’s tone grew teary as she replied. “Are you really interested in her?”

The rest of his family and the Scholl family believed Emily had gone abroad. They were oblivious to his marriage to someone else.
